The Ones We Left Behind, Never To be Forgotten
It's now hard to remember some of the things my grandparents and great grandparents said about the Second world War they experienced, during their lifetime. I can only remember their faces, the times I have spent being with them during my childhood and teenage life, during the 1980s and 1990s. My Grandmother Jean Scott sadly past away in 2008, a year before my graduation at Kingston Upon Thames. She was the last of my closest grandparents I had. My father Andrew used to tell me stories, about my Grandad Geoffrey, who served in 'Her Majesty's Royal Army' as a Royal Engineer. He served the Royal Army for two years, whiles touring in Vietnam and working, to maintain weaponry equipment and heavy machinery, during the Second World War.
