Krishna And Kishore
Long ago,in the village Rajgiri,a teenager lived in the name Krishna.His father Keshavan was paralysed and he couldn't do any work.So Krishna who was quite good at studies had to leave his schooling and go for work.His mother died many years ago due to cancer.It was curable only if money shown its presence.So he wanted his brother Kishore to become a doctor and serve the society for free.
Krishna did several jobs for his family's livelihood.He admitted Kishore in a matriculation school which costed a huge sum as fees.He struggled a lot to pay it.He often heard the scoldings of principal and correspondent for being delayed to pay the fees.Though he struggled a lot,he felt happy that his brother would become a doctor one day.Also, Krishna had a divine soul.He worshipped the God without fail.
One day,in the paradise ,God was discussing something with the angels.The topic was to reward the most kindest soul in the world.The Almighty asked the angels to search the kindest and most beautiful soul in the world.The angels began their search and found the beholder of that beautiful and kindest soul.It was Krishna.Angels reported this to the Lord.But God decided to test Krishna's kindness.He disguised as an old man.He appeared in Krishna's work place at 2 p.m.Krishna,after heavy labour,bought a bun to eat for lunch.It was really an unsatisfactory lunch but Krishna was poor to afford something more.The old man( God ) went and said to Krishna that he was hungry and asked could he give him something to eat.Krishna, without second thought,gave his bun to the old man.He found satisfaction in feeding the old man.After understanding Krishna's mercy,God changed the disguise as the old man and appeared in his real appearance.Krishna was really stunned as it was quite unexpected.The Lord granted him to ask a wish.But the condition was that he could change the life of only one person in his family.The others would remain as poor.
Krishna took some time to think and then he said,"I wish to change the life of my brother,Kishore".Being selfless,Krishna asked that wish to the God."Okay,I'll do that.I know a very rich man who has no child.I will give Kishore to them.They will take care of him" God said.At first,Krishna became upset that he should miss his loveable brother.Later,he decided to give his brother as he didn't want his brother to live a life of poverty.God gave Kishore to a rich man.His name was Edward and he had a wife called Lissy.They took care of Kishore very well as if he was their own son.As years passed,Kishore began to forget his brother,Krishna.But Krishna always had Kishore in his memories.
Many years later,Kishore went to a medical college for plumbing works.There he saw a young man with the resemblance of Kishore.He looked at his face deeply and realised that it was his brother whom God gave to a rich family.Without any second thought,he called,"Kishore...how are you? Do you remember me? I'm your brother, Krishna"Kishore looked at Krishna's dress.He was shabby in his old clothes.He looked very poor.Though he understood that it was his brother,he pretended very well that he didn't know him in front of his friends.He yelled,"how dare you to call me as your brother.you are a poor man but I belong to a very rich family and I'm their only son.I hate you and your shabby dress.Dont irritate me.Go away." With full of disappointment,Krishna moved away from that spot.
Six years later,Kishore prepared to go for an interview.The interview was conducted by a famous hospital called Sahithya Hospital.It was also a charity institution,doing free medical services for poor people.The hospital management gave a very handsome salary to their staffs.That was why Kishore went for the interview to that hospital.He passed the written test and the next one was the interview by the owner of that hospital.Kishore waited too long for the interview as so many aspirants were there to be interviewed.
Later,Kishore's turn came.With full of excitement,he went to the owner's cabin.He was very shocked to see his brother Krishna on the owner's seat.He wore a good and costly dress but once he was shabby and got insulted by Kishore.Krishna said," please be seated,Kishore.Shall I call you as my brother now?"Kishore cried on hearing that sentence as he insulted him before."Don't cry.Though you hate me,I love you always.You are my invaluable asset" said Krishna.Kishore hugged his brother and expressed his love.He also begged Krishna to forgive him." "Dear brother,how did you overcome poverty and reached this position?" asked Kishore.Krishna said,"It was a great story.Once I worked in a supermarket.There,my owner's daughter Ashika fell in love with me.In the beginning,I was a bit hesitant as I didn't match their status.But later when Ashika's father Ram Das approached me with an aliance,I said okay and married her.After my father-in-laws departure,I became the owner of his companies and that was how I reached this position.Kishore hugged Krishna again and said,"It is because of you,I realise Kindness and selflessness are the most valuable assets in this world.It's enough to make a man rich.You proved it,my dear brother."
