In the forest, in the night
Underneath the full moonlight
I'm feeling lost among the trees,
Between the masquerades of birds and bees
Feeling like a stranger nobody really sees,
I'm in such a fright,
If only I could work my way out into light,
Marching through the clouds of gray,
And so everyday I pray to find a place, as I closed my eyes,
Waiting for the light of love to lead the way,
Because one day you're here, next you're gone,
And no matter what the circumstances, life still goes on,
But if you look carefully, there's a light in the forest,
And a spirit in the trees, just look up and you'll see,
Even in the darkest sky there're still stars, and in the quietest tree, a life waiting to be free,
And further up the mountain slope, in any heart there's always hope,
And as the fireflies danced in the forest night, there's a fire inside me burning so bright
As I roam through the forest, along the mountainside,
Moving through the darkness, a lone creature of the wild,
It's so strange but it feels like the forest is so alive
So when it's hard to see the forest from the trees,
Look for the path amongst the dead leaves,
Your soul is also a dark forest,
And the trees are of a particular species, they're genealogical trees with deep roots and hanging branches!!
