We arrived nice and early this morning, the sun was shining brightly but there was a rainbow on the horizon .
The roofer started to cut into the first bolts and decided he needed a better grinding disc , as he went to open the van door the key didn't work, we spent the next hour trying to get into the van resulting in him breaking the lock barrel, eventually we got in.
We managed to get the rest of the bolts off and started to remove the old asbestos roofing but couldn't go too far as we were awaiting a delivery, I phoned the supplier who said we would get an afternoon delivery, we waited for another hour and a half then phoned again to be told that they themselves had been let down by their suppliers but agreed to supply dearer boards for the same price but tomorrow .
We had to put the old roofing back on and pack up for the day, hopefully better luck tomorrow 🙂
