“Isn’t this exciting?” My best friend’s excited eyes flit around the dazzling stores on the main street.
“I suppose so.”
My unenthusiastic reply had her turning to me with a frown. “What’s the matter? Aren’t you happy to be out shopping after so many months?”
I shook my head feeling miserable. I could feel the panic rise up so I pretended to search my pockets for my sanitizer. When I found it I poured it liberally over my hands and rubbed them together. There was no room for error, the virus was still around... and there shouldn't be any need to relent in any safety precautions at the moment.
