Change is on the horizon. Ancient texts give a historical account of a people on the verge of entering a new economic era. Their leader Moses (selected 12 spies or socio-economic researchers from among them and) sent them off to scout out Canaan, he said, "Go up through the Negev and then into the hill country. Look the land over, see what it is like. Assess the people: Are they strong or weak? Are there few or many? Observe the land: Is it pleasant or harsh? The covid-19 virus epidemic has changed social norms, affecting the way people socialize and enjoy life. But the virus' greatest impact shall be felt in the business world, as customers and consumers alter how they hunt for, evaluate, buy, receive, consume and enjoy brands; and how they choose to relate with the suppliers of products that meet their emerging needs.
New social waves come with new economic challenges. These new economic challenges come with new opportunities to profit and prosper. Big shifts in the way business is conducted are on the commercial horizon. As would be expected, different industries will be affected in different ways.
