"Noori", I nudged her as she walked ahead of me. There was noone around the lake. Well, except for the two of us, and Mr Weather's old white car parked a mile away.

"I could've sworn-", she turned to face me with a dejected look."-lost boys come here"

I wonder if she-

"-maybe we should've gone to Fara's cabin on the mountain top. All tourists' go there"

"Noori-"

"-lemme think Hazel"

"-this is your soulmate we're looking for here", she grinned and finally sat down beside me and allowed the breeze to sink into her face."but the view is great, I'll give you that"

I rolled my eyes. "I'm surprised though"

She gave me a funny look."that he's not here?...were you really looking for him with me? I'm surprised too"

"The moon flowers",I pointed at the white flowers on the right side of the lake."they're blooming in daylight"

"What, those white ones? Hazel, flowers bloom during the day and I'm here for it"

I sighed. "Noori, stop calling me Hazel while we're in Willows"

She laughed."I am not calling you Lana. That's your last name. Also, Lana is anal spelled in reverse. So you deserve better than that"

The moon flowers were really in bloom. I remember Mrs Holler telling me that nobody had visited the lake in three years. But that doesn't explain-

"That's cause Fana made her cabin steal all the show. It's beautiful here too, but rain and lake and Spring don't really go well together here in Willows "

But it doesn't rain that often.

"Speaking of rain", she looked at me.",We can't leave before the festival"

"What would I do here for two weeks?"

"I thought you'd want to go around and do your research thingy"

I sighed."I graduated five years ago"

"That shouldn't stop you from getting into plant research again"

''It's not my thing",i yawned.

"and yet", she rolled her eyes and sighed."you got yourself a master's degree"

"You too"

"And I'm using it", she looked at her phone. "I'm teaching. I'm doing the thing that i love, the dream I'd dreamt of ever since i was a little girl."

"But you, you're just...i don't know. what if I get married soon. Who would care for you?"

I rolled my eyes.

"I will find me a man", she grinned."after i find you this lost Prince. Weirdos first"

I wonder sometimes, what goes on in her head. The energy spent just on these kind of thoughts. But she wouldn't be Noori if she was any different.

"Did you see his face? was he any handsome? I think he is. All kind people are"

"He looked like-",i recollected. She edged herself closer."-like one of my mother's tree"

She pulled back and blinked several times.

"I can't believe you just made that comparison"
