the change she craved
#WritcoStoryPrompt8
The picture in the frame held a lot of memories. Some good, some sad. Her tired eyes roamed over it one last time before she tossed it in the fire. It was time to start afresh.
Right beside her stood two huge bags. She couldn't believe what she was doing. should she, she thought to herself until she heard the sounds of a car horn outside. she shook her head. she'd be back, she just didn't know when. Her body trembled as she moved farther away from the place she's lived all of her life. She kept walking though. she knew she had to. for herself she had to. She couldn't hold it to herself anymore, at least thats what her therapist said. she got into the cab and headed toward the airport. One foot in front of the other she headed to a new place. A new country. A new home. A new everything. The only thing that bothered her was that her parents where the ones not around to see how well she would grow or anything. she was the one that survived and that broke her heart every time she actually thought about it or really anything about her parents.
She survived, They didn't.
Her mom who had the warm smile. Her dad who had the huge heart. the only one left out in the world is their only child/daughter. which was her. to other people she had both the warm smile and the big heart. however it was slowly disappearing, which is why she had to go. she had to find her happiness once again. She had to find her heart before she could find her smile thought and the place she was going to only made her heart pound with excitement. she truly didn't know what was over there but the excitement ran through her hands as a form of anxiety but she knew she was just excited. Not for leaving. not for finding herself again but for the new change her body craved
