~ Love makes the simple things special. Everyday suddenly feels quietly wonderful. White clouds look silver, the yellow sun turns golden, and ordinary things seem a bit amazing. We laugh easier, and are inclined to be gentler. Love becomes more than an emotion. It becomes a lifetime.

I was initially inspired by a story challenge on another poem app. But then, my grandfather passed on yesterday and it made me think of all the years my grandparents were together. For the first time, my grandmother woke up alone. Their marriage was far from perfect and they were never demonstrative. But they must have cared for each other in their own way. These stories are a result of their union (14.07.2022).
