Episode Twelve: "Meet my Mom!".

Jasmine's mom was pleased with her daughter for the first time. she had made her very happy. Jamil Adegoke is the most sought after Guy for most rich homes for their daughters. She couldn't believed that her daughter has brought home a golden fish and she didn't made a fuss of it.

" Mum, Now you can keep your promise, right?".

Jasmine called her mother behind to remind her of the promise she made.

"It's done. That bastard Akeem is going to prison. We are pressing a charge".

She promised her daughter. Jasmine was pleased to hear that justice will reign. She couldn't have ask for more. Who knew bringing her a man would solve the problem, and still bring her closer to her mother. She was happy, even if it was fake and won't last longer than expected.

" So, when is the wedding?".

Jasmine spilled her drink, Jamil was taken back, after hearing what Jasmine's dad said about them having a wedding...

Jamil gave Jasmine a stare, he wasn't aware of the fact that there would be a wedding. Jasmine in return gave me a consolidated look. Telling him to help her out.

"We haven't told my Parents yet!".

" When are you planning on telling?".

Jasmine's mom became curious, she couldn't wait to make Jamil her son in-law, she feared many families would be after him and his parents.

"I will tell them tonight, Ma!".

He reassured them but not keeping a promise. He isn't sure of how his mom would take the shock.

" So, how did you guys meet? ".

Mary Jane questioned. She wanted to know about their story, even though she knew Jamil to be dating her sister in the past.

" We met while in college, She broke up with me first!".

"Jamil!!!, why did you have to make me the bad person?".

" For what reason?". Jasmine's dad questioned.

"For me being too handsome!".

" what?????

Everyone was shocked. That's not a great excuse to break off a relationship. Mary Jane became more curious. She knew her sister like Handsome guys, there must be a reason why she did that.

Upon arriving home, Jamil was called in by his mother. She seem furious, which made Jamil wondered if she knew of the engagement.

"How could you do that to me?".

she questioned.

" Mom, I'm sorry. I know you are going to call the engagement off, I'm sorry! ".

" Off??? why would I do that? is that what you think of me?".

She questioned her son.

"You're not?".

She starter laughing. She was making fun of her son's innocence. She had always told him to be careful with women, but she can't believe he really obeyed her.

" I love Jasmine. Bring her home. You won't believe that her mother and I were best friend in high school. we lost contact, and now we are becoming in laws. You guys are getting married!". she said happily.

"What????.

This isn't what he had hoped for, he couldn't believed what he had heard. The thought of his mother agreeing to the fact for him to be married to Jasmine is shocking to him. This is the only girl her mother had approved for him in his life.

He remembered his past relationship while still in school. Jasmine was the first girl to asked him out. out of curiosity he started dating her casually. But on the other side he loved someone else, and his mother didn't approved of her. This person and him also dated and were thinking marriage while he was still with Jasmine.
