BLoG: How We Use Sound to Self Heal
Like much of WHAT I do, I am very unorthodox in much of my approach to self healing and finding ways to soothe my energy. I find the sound of my drums very soothing as the vibrations flow up through my hands and the bass pounds right through my gut and chest. It's the acoustic vibrations that I am drawn to and that soothe this savage beast that resides in my soul.

This is what I call music therapy. As I utilize the vibrations and sound to help balance my various energies and chakras. I also use the sounds of my own voice and singing to help add to the Resonance that I am creating with music and my drums. It all stems from a head injury I sustained many years ago. This particular therapy has helped to reduce stress and immense anxiety. I have been able to heal from within. It is my intention to bring light to mental health awareness and the importance of maintaining a healthy and balanced life.

But one must take the time to find out what it is that they LooVe to do and do it. Find time for yourself and do the things that you like to do. If its not playing tbe drums, what is it? I LooVe to play my drums and how it makes me feel. The Loudness and Vibrations are so refreshing to me. But thats me! So I encourage others to find out what it is that helps them to relieve their stresses and anxieties.

Music therapy is one of my favorite times of the day, of course. But more importantly, it's how it makes me feel during and afterwards. The results have been life changing for me and have clearly helped to manage my PTSD and other mental health issues that I continue to battle. The use of sound over all is a phenomenal tool when battling stress and other ailments. I recommend it highly! Including the methods stated in this article with Leah Smart on LinkediN. Sorry could not post link. Or simply look up Sound bathing.
