"If I knew..If someone had told me the plan...you know I would have done things differently rightly?" Lisa covered her eyes with her hands. She seemed that she had lost something precious to her.
"Yeah, but you know that you are the one who can't keep secrets." Her brother Max said.
"But I would have tried my best, I would have gone to someplace not known by her." She felt so melancholic that even her brother felt an ache in his heart.
"But still we didn't know that you would react this way and you'll have such fits of anger." Max was trying to comfort her. He knew she was in deep pain.
"Neither I know. I don't know why I got so angry." She covered her eyes with her hands and started weeping.
"May be this thing called love made you react this way." Max was sad for both of them.
"No..No.. It's jealousy.. I got jealous that she(her bestie) was giving more time to him than me. I was jealous that he organized a birthday party for her and this jealousy made me do all these things." She admitted her deep emotions.
"Good, you realized, but nothing can be done now. He is in a critical situation. And she HATES you." He said with a deep sigh.
"I didn't know things would turn this way. I don't know how I could make all things like before? I hope there is a way." She said and closed her eyes.
" Just pray that he regains his consciousness only then everything will be alright I hope." Max said with a sigh.
" I will do everything to get their forgiveness. I didn't know anything. I know they will forgive me. They will forgive me?" Lisa said and held Max's hands and stared hopefully in his eyes.
"Yeah, May be…" Max didn't want to make her lose her hope. He knew that James (Lisa's boyfriend) might forgive her but Sarrah(Lisa's bestie)..She was not going to accept her apology so easily.
" I know Sarrah won't go easy on me but I will try my best… I promise I won't react hastily from now on." She said with her lips curled in a smile and a resolution in her eyes.
" We will see it later… Oh my phone is ringing..wait a minute." He said and pulled his mobile from his pocket.
"Really!! Ok. We will arrive there soon. Don't worry." Max said and put the mobile phone back in his pocket.
" Let's go." He said to Lisa without any expression.
"Where?" There was a shadow of despair on her face.
" To the hospital.." Max said while looking sideways.
"Why? What happened?" She said with certain fear in her eyes
" You will find out when we reach there." He was still not looking in her eyes
" Why are you not telling me? Please tell me what happened. I feel like my heart is drowning." She wasn't able to hold her tears and started crying.
" James wants to see you." Max wasn't able to utter any more words than that.
" What about Sarrah? Would she let me see him?" She was both happy and worried at the same time.
" We don't have time to waste. Let's go." Max hold her hands and went towards their car.
Lisa was afraid as Max was driving harshly. They arrived at the hospital within fifteen minutes even though it took 45 minutes to reach their normal.
Max hold her from her shoulders and looked in her eyes and said "Don't lose your temper there. Okay?"
She nodded in agreement and they went inside the hospital.
They met Sarrah in the corridor. She looked furiously towards Lisa as she would've eaten her if Max wasn't with her.
Max took Lisa to the ICU.
Lisa was shocked to see James. He had became paler in just few hours. She moved closer to him and hold his hands.
" I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean anything like this. I didn't knew you were doing this because Sarrah was going to get engaged and she also didn't told me her boyfriend was coming...She told me just few days ago that she had broken up with her boyfriend and you also started taking of her like..like... and it just made me jealous." She said with tears soaking her eyes.
" I know but you should have thought at least once..You knew she is like sister to me ever since I have met her she reminds me of me late sister but you... I was just trying to make her day special for her that's why we were going for shopping together and doing things together but you didn't even listen once and went away.." He said and a tear swept down his cheek.
" I know I should have asked but... I don't know why did I get frustrated.." She said with a deep husky voice.
" It's okay. You must keep in mind that a relationship can only be long lasting if you both trust each other. It's not a one way road. In this way both of us will be hurt. Neither friendships are sustainable in this way...The girl outside is your childhood bestie but your doubts have hurted her a lot. You ruined her day and your dubious nature brought me to the hospital bed. Whatever..I love you and for the sake of this love I am giving you the last chance, If you did something like this we will be done for." James said and closed her eyes meaning that he didn't want to speak something.
Lisa moved out of the room and goes to Sarrah who was sitting on the floor of hospital.
Lisa hold Sarrah's hand and touched her hands with her face.
" I'm sorry.. I'm really sorry...I ruined your day.. I just..." Lisa said with deep grief but Sarrah interrupted her.
" You knew everything.. you knew I wouldn't ever cheat om you.. You know I can always leave anything for you if I knew you liked it... there are many examples of this in our childhood and in our teenage.." Sarrah said and closed her eyes.
" Sarrah.. I know I have done worst but you know my habits my nature I don't say anything unless I'm not able to take it anymore my this habit has harmed me.. I have hurted my two closest persons. Please forgive me otherwise I don't know where to go." Lisa said with a deep grief in her eyes.
"I will try to... But you know it's is difficult to trust someone so close who have hurted you...but still I will try.. May be I succeed." Sarrah said and got up.
" Thanks!! Thank you very much.. I eill trust my best to assure you.." Lisa said and hugged her.
" I'm going abroad for sometime. I want to be alone for sometime. May be I forget everything in this way." Sarrah said with a cold expression.
" But..." Lisa tried to said something but was interrupted by Sarrah.
" You know I can't be angry with you for a long time. I have forgiven you but It will take time for me to adjust and to forget everything." Sarrah said.
"Okay but I won't let you hang out alone for a long time." Lisa said with a smile on her face.
Sarrah said goodbye to Lisa and went home.
Lisa felt sad as her bestie was leaving for good but she knew that it was necessary for her to cool down other wise the broken ties wouldn't be repaired and seh didn't want to loose such a close person. She knew that Sarrah would be okay in some days because she loves her alot. Also Lisa decided that she would now learn to manage her anger and try not to lose her temper. Because this is the only way for maintaining long and happy relationships otherwise such things will happen again and she might fell in worse situations.
