DARKNESS IN OHAFIA
Darkness In Ohafia
Mon,Aug 17, 2009.
A day I would never forget.
The firmament seemed unusual and so were the harsh wind that blew across aliens that visited.
A virgin had brought forth a male child, as the town crier tossed around the village square distinctively. Children could be seen playing and cheering one to another.
Chim,Chim,
You Have done it! The smile beneath thou closest had been reviewed Nne.
The eyes of the gods are before thee, to prosper thou path at the "dawn of civilization."
As years went by,
Ikem stood beside oneself as his blood littered the street of Lagos. Kill him! Kill him!! They screamed the more. Dancing in shame without sympathy as the demon led them. He deserved to die, neither worthy to see the days ahead of him. A misplaced identity in the den of ritualist.
An innocent star had been wasted, the mad man huffed.
Lightening and earthquake gloved the earth, as the river moved backwards in the time of life.
The great iroko that bears fruitful vine had fallen asleep, the elders exclaimed.
Then the news came into her like that of the Odysseus the wanderer.
Oh, cause be the day I put forth thee Ikemefuna.
Let the sun be afar off from Goshen, Like in the days of Moses. Nor the moon bring forth offspring. For you have quenched the light of hope in me. Then she took her last breath in solidarity.
