Good for evil
The name on the appointment form was though unknown, there was a strange feeling, provoking Mrs. Chitra to meet the patient before leaving for home. Chitra is a well known doctor and also popular for her successful 30 years of experience as a cardiologist. She with her family, lives in Delhi. Her hometown is Bhubaneswar. After 8 years of marriage, she shifted to Delhi with her husband and her younger son. The reason behind this sudden transfer is still a mystery for her fellow staffs and family. But she was bound to take such a step after her eldest son's demise.

However, Delhi was not a bit favourable for her family than Bhubaneswar. The tragedy in their life started soon after two months of their settlement. Vicky, Chitra 's younger son started his schooling in Hillwoods Academy and one day from the school he went missing. For days there was no information. Then one day Mr. and Mrs. Chitra received a letter from an unknown address which demanded 2 lakhs to get back their son. The address and the procedure of payment was mentioned in it with a strong warning of killing Vicky, if they inform this to police. Out of fear and helplessness, the couples decided to go by the instructions in the letter and save their now only child.

Those issues were really painful and hard to forget but Mr. and Mrs. Chitra were content at getting back their son.
Every morning after that day, they were extremely grateful to God and at the same time fearful too of, if something evil will follow next. The death of their eldest son and the kidnap of their younger son has made Chitra little possessive about everything. But, thay never hampered her career or kept her away from her work.

The next day she woke up at 5 a.m and finishing her work at home, she left for her clinic. There were series of appointment that day. But she chose to first look upon the case of a poor man who needs to be operated urgently. Sirin, her nurse brought Chitra to the patient and introduced her. On seeing Mrs. Chitra the patient was troubled and seemed very nervous. After a short conversation, Chitra decided to undertake the operation even though she knew that the patient is not able to pay even less than the half of the amount charged. The operation went on for approximately 2 hours because it was open heart surgery. And as before it was again successful.

But this time she not only saved the heart of that patient but also won it. Later, after some days, on a still night around 11 "o" clock, there was a bang at their door. As she opened the door, the man immediately fell down at her feet and with tears in his eyes and with a grateful heart confessed " I am the person who kidnapped your son and threatened you to submit 2 lakhs. But that day, your kindness has saved me. If you hadn't operated me for free, I wouldn't have survived till now. I am sorry, Madam. Please do forgive me. I know I can't return your money but I promise from henceforth, I will never commit such deeds again with anyone. I am ever grateful to you and will always remember your act and follow your steps."
