There's a saying, 'We ain't supposed to shape ourselves into the world, but we must find a place in the world that has been shaped for us.'
It's kind of true!
But we live in an opposite world. Everyone tries to fit in, nobody is trying to find their own world.
Nobody tries to look into themselves and see what they can bring into the world. Instead, we all want to take something from the world.
We're following a path we've seen other's succeed in, instead of our own. But what we don't know is that they succeeded in it because it's theirs.
We're sacrificing our true self to trace other people's lives. We want to love things they love, go to places they go, talk like they talk, dress like they dress, etc. We are never US. You are never YOU. I'm never ME.
I, sometimes, understand. And my understanding is based on the fact that we live in a world of PRETENCE.
"It's so easy to pretend to be someone else than to be who you really are."
That's the world we live in.
