The Man who Recovered from Alcohol Addiction
There was a man who was an alcoholic. This man would finish up to ten bottles in a single. He has been in this habit of drinking for over five years. Because of his drinking habit his wife ran away with their two children when the situation became unbearable for her.

The man has done all he could but the habit continued to dominate him. He has received both advice and curses from friends and has even gone to priests and different religious leaders for prayers so he could be free. He has made several vows to himself that he would stop but after few days of making such vow, he would find himself again at a local beer parlour requesting for more bottles having consumed enough. He has lost his job and friends who could have helped him change have abandoned him after several attempts to help him change for better but to no avail. Nobody was willing to help him again because of this his drinking habit which have turned into an addiction. Both himself and everyone around him has concluded that his situation can never change again.

But one night, as he was going home from his usual beer parlour heavily drunk, there was a heavy downpour which soaked him on the way but he managed to drag himself home from the road. As he got to the house, he realized that nobody was home not even the noise of flies could be heard. He opened the door and slowly fell inside on the floor. After few minutes, he started crying. That night, he wept bitterly. Because he felt helpless and hopeless.

As he was crying loudly with all the strength he could gather in the middle of that night, he stood up in anger and shouted, "God! Show yourself, where are you? I am tired of this life. I can't continue living again." Suddenly, he paused for some seconds. "Because of one habit, I have lost virtually everything," he shouted again. Having shouted too long, he was tired and he began sleeping.

Something strange later happened. While he was sleeping, he heard a loud voice from nowhere, "Just believe and you will surely prevail!" Immediately he heard that voice, he suddenly woke up with a mixture of fear and surprise on his face. Then he replied the voice, "I believe and I will prevail." From that moment, he had a strange feeling. Suddenly, he made another vow and that was the last vow he ever made. He vowed that he would never drink ever again in his life. He believed and was convinced that it was God who spoke to him while he was lying down. That belief that God himself spoke to him changed his story and that was how his life got transformed.
