(Two days after the discovery of the Body inside Ellaine's closet.)

It was another day in the past. The time where he had just finished packing and was ready to go home. When someone called his name at a distance.

It was after the fun had left the club room, when all the members had trekked home except him and her. Possibly winning him the best case scenario of the week.

"Mel? I thought you've gone home already?"

But instead of a girl he liked, it was a girl he despised. He hastily passed around her like a wind with no regret. Not looking back a single chance... But something stopped him from walking. It was her hand, and her tears that flowed along with it.

"Please, let me explain.."

It bothered him, for the longest he also.... No... He couldn't erase what he had saw inside her cupboard.. It was a skull, and a bracelet. One he vaguely remembers as a gift to his best friend back at kindergarten..

"Fuck.. Let go of me Goddamn Psycho!"

And sure enough, the girl's hands loosened its grip. He was a speeding bullet, seconds later... Leaving the crying girl back at the darkness.

His legs hurt from running, his sweat that drenched his forehead, but after a long distance he realized he was still human after all..

It was little bit of tinge that throbbed inside him, while looking back seeing nothing but stairs..

A lot of memories together was wasted...

But after for a short time, light flashed before his eyes. Where he can finally breathe relief in as it was the scariest moment of his life.

He was out of the building... But it was far from over, behind him was a hand that caressed the back of neck slowly and coldly. One that could freeze your blood in dead silence..

He cursed a million times inside his head before reacting back. Jumping back as far as he can, almost tripping over.

He never thought Ellaine would follow him this far even after being dumped, and what's more is that she was fast as heck.

But another few seconds later took him to realize he was wrong.. It wasn't Ellaine at all.. This one had silver luxury for a hair, lips as red as an apple, skin as white as snow.

Seems familiar? Yes, as it is the snow white of his heart. Melissa Quires. Laughing along the sweet sound of the breeze and the mild sun..

"Ow, that was funny... My stomach hurts.. But wow, I really scared you that much? Why are you so panicked? Seen a ghost?"

Melissa couldn't hold back much longer and laughed harder than before... It was the 22th time she has surprised him in one day. But he was happy, as her smiles for some reason provided a sense of comfort...

That is he hoped she would stop hurting herself from laughing too much... It's hard to look at your crush squirming on the ground and in pain...

It took a few minutes until the girl finally calmed down, and agreed to walk home with the soon to be detective after this ordeal.. Rain didn't want Ellaine to come back and destroying this relationship he has with her... Not ever.

But with that being said again, Melissa was still letting out a few giggles when she remembers the priceless reaction she got out of the boy, as she was sure that's going to be placed inside the mental book she has in store for him...

That was enough to make her flustered..

"Geez, please help this tactless girl in her troubles so that she could peacefully do the right things, Amen.."

"What are you praying for? I wonder?"

His companion shot him a fierce glance and started to walk faster, yet for him this was exciting. It was the first time he had seen her like this, her sulking..

"Hey wait up!"

But no matter how fast she would run, she was still too slow... It ended with them catching their breath at the last stop light that separates both their houses..

It was a bit sad for them both... But she remembered she was still sulking, and so she bid her farewells to the man..

"Then, see you tommorow.."

"Wait....Just wait!"

He said finally grabbing her hand, and say what he wanted to say for the longest time that took a huge amount to courage to muster..

"Please go on a date with me tomorrow..."

It was what he was hoping to say all this time... Only to be disrupted by the speeding wheels, hurling towards a full family... 2 kids and an 2 adults, paralyzed with fear, crying in hopelessness.

But it was Quires that moved first... Not knowing what she was doing, was stopped once again by Rain's hands..

"No!"

"Please let me... We'll go after I save those 4.."

But he couldn't hold on... However, she had a smile in her face, that's the last thing he remembers. Before the memory burns like a thin paper laced with alcohol...

Then it was just darkness... He opened his eyes, bringing himself back to reality. A sight of the clear sky and the building behind him, and the sound of Ken sympathizing with the event...

They were cooling outside the side of the building, along side Job and Ken after the job was almost done..

"That sounds rough... She died?" Ken said, blowing another puff of smoke in the air, while Job was adamantly was writing his conclusions on the case in his phone completely ignoring the detective's memory.

"No... I don't remember.. Anything after that... The medics said to me after I regained consciousness, I almost died of shock. That my brain somehow experienced partial amnesia, and that's all I know..."

It wasn't until just yesterday when he started to overcome the pain of not being able to remember new things at all... But he was sure then..

"Still, her parent's never gave a bell to you? Even if you were that close?"

"No, not that... They did send me a message a few days after my discharge.."

"Something along the lines of *Thank you for being my daughter's love interest? Something like that?"

"It contained just two words, it said *Fuck you*..."

Rain was smiling, but the other two suffered a very silenced regret Ken said anything at all...

"She died.... Right?"

"I think..."

He wanted to cry, having empty memories really doesn't help him at all... But what's more surprising is at the moment when the words came out from his mouth. The 3 felt a large object fell right in front of them, with a huge loud crack...

Low and behold, it was Ellaine's lifeless body...
