Social media does more harm than good.
As we all know in today's world everyone are on social media everyone uses Facebook, whatsapp, instagram & so on. What i personally feel or think is that it's a need as some or more of our family members & friends too are abroad so to communicate with them we can make use of social media. Having a regular (normal phone call) isn't possible I mean the bill will be a lot. So to keep a touch with them it's a good way.
But on the other side being on social media all the time is making us go away, from our own beloveds. Even if four people are sitting on a dinner table or anywhere else all are on their phones using one or the other social media's app. There's no face to face conversations it's like just come sit eat & go to our respected rooms. I mean what i feel is having food on the dinner table is like a customised punishment; you have to eat your food on the dinner table itself still it's fine if you use your phones (social media). It's ok if we don't have a in person communication. Kids are addicted to all the games they play. I hope we all remember the game which has been banned by government what was the name of that game.. let me recollect... "Pub g" Yes, Yes. Right so this game was banned by the government. Kids went mad when they heard this for them it was like whaaaat??.... How??, No, No how can this happen & all... For them pub g was more important than their studies & mental health. All these cause a mental problem we don't realise it but it does.
When it comes to wishing anyone on their birthdays we don't take that much of efforts to call that particular person & wish all we do is just type a happy birthday message or one level up than this is HBD. I mean, I don't understand when all this social media wasn't in existence we use to have conversations with our parents/friends etc. And now nope all these has vanished. I agree we all change with time, change should take place but we have to see is that change is a good change or no. And if that change isn't a good one just stop it there.
Social media has been a revolutionary tool in every aspect right from Connecting to people to growing business. But anything of more is always not good which does apply to social media too. Social media has created a perception of everything being perfect which is actually wrong & for some it's demotivating. It's also does affect our mental peace sometimes. Too many opinions from people on social can also make a person depressed. Social media has it's own perks & harms but this depends totally on the person who she/he uses it. One must know the difference between social life & real life. Know how to handle or balance between them.
