“Love,lost and found”

Trutly fate can play with us sometimes.
I sit down and think maybe this is a dream,
me myself I hardly believe,
but they say wishes sometimes can come true,
and this story of mine is one of them.
Long time,eighteen years back then,
young and naive in high school by then,
I didn't know him,he didn't know me,
but slowly by slowly,he came close to me,
He was caring,loving and real to me,
these were a few of his qualities that brought me close to him.
His presence next to me always made my heart race,
my mind freeze and my mouth shut,
that I could barely respond to him but only be shy.
Never did we spend lots of days together,
fate swept him away like the waves at the shore of the sea.
The last goodbye stuck in my mind,
was the last dance we shared together,
into his arms he held me tight,
and the only music I still remember,
was the sound of our hearts beating close to each other.
He asked for my number and by then I didn’t have a phone,
so I gave him my mum’s but not even a single day did he call?!
Days and months and years all passed,
waiting for him endlessly but all in vain.
I got married not to my high school lover but to someone I never expected,
this was a guy who was never satisfied with his wife,
but instead interested in other women.
God always knew what I went through with all the distress,
so he had already willed this was perfect time to give me a relief,
In 2022, God gave me a gift and that was my long lost love,
just like before, always sweet,loving and caring .
The way we connect and understand eachother,
The way he understands my feelings even without me speaking,
It feels like we were never apart!
Each day,every minute every second when we communicate,
Lost in our conversations ,lost in love.
It always feels so fresh,feels so brand new,
feels like back then when we were young and cool.
I am filled with gratitude to Allah for bringing you back into my life.
I appreciate his kindness,his understanding and his willingness to share his love,thoughts and world with me.
I am so lucky to have you in my life and I’m grateful for all of your support and love that you shown me.
Your love for me is so special,strong and Unconditional,
I can’t wait to meet again soon,
be together forever,grow old together.
I thank you for choosing me,
your soulmate and partner in life.
