After a shouting match, he decided to walk off into the woods. He just wanted to get away from his incorrigible step-mom. He could not fathom her decision to make him marry a girl whom he had not seen before.
It was a sombre morning when the whole place was shrouded by mist and there was no sign of any sunlight. The step-mom had announced during breakfast that he was going to wed the 16 year old daughter of her best friend in a week’s time. No reason was offered and no explanation was given. He was also not given a chance to reject the proposal.
As he had not finished schooling and had no qualifications to get a job, he had to rely on his family. He did odd jobs around the house.
This shy boy just took to his heels and ran into the hazy woods. He could not contain his disappointment and sadness. He tripped over a stone and fell. As he picked himself up, he saw a big majestic mansion with acres of a beautiful garden.
Then the most beautiful girl appeared in front of him. She was in a long flowing white dress with flowers in her hair. She offered her hand and gestured to follow her. She led him towards the magnificent realm and he gladly accepted that silent grandeur of perennial happiness.
