Does life give us a second chance? The race had begun and he wondered if he would win this time round.

Sitting atop the cliff, he idly followed the ship in the distance, slowly ploughing it's way to an unknown destination. Was that how our forefathers first set out? Braving the unknown, but determined to achieve their goal.

Did they even know their goal? Or, like good old Columbus, be mistaken, and rest on their laurels once they achieved it?

On the other hand, Columbus did achieve something, didn't he? It may not be what he set out to achieve, but he did get somewhere after all.

The lonely ship was now on the horizon. Soon it would be gone, pursuing it's journey, it's goal. Farewell, my friendly ship, and bon voyage.

All at once, he got to his feet. He knew, deep down, that he was going to succeed. May not be immediately, but yes, if the plan was well thought through, and execution right, nobody could stop him..a determined man!
