#WritcoStoryPrompt5

Continued:-

' "The Doom" was the most precious item of the Queens. It was specialy made for a woman named Cassandra. She was the daughter of one of the most richest person of that time. It was designed for her wedding to match with her wedding dress.'

'On her wedding night she comes to know that her husband is a fraud. He is not any business man like he told. He was a smuggler. She heard him talk over the phone. He was speaking something about her necklace over the phone. She knew he was planning to steal it. '

'It's not new. It is an antique.' Rachel thought to herself. She continued reading,

' Before her husband could go any further she stabbed him with a knife. She loved her necklace and never wanted to part with it.'

She scrolled down a bit to find more about it. She was sweating out of fear.

'Soul attached to The Doom'

She opened the website mentioning this heading.

' People say the soul of the woman is attached to the necklace. She was never able to part with it. She loved it dearly. Families of many woman have are known to complain that on the wedding day they have killed their husbands unwillingly and unknowingly.'

'The only common thing between all those woman are that all of them had bought the necklace to wear it on their wedding.'

' Later those brides was found to kill themselves due to either depression or by strange accidents.'

She glanced at the necklace. She thought to get rid of it. She did not want to die. She understood that it was the soul that killed Scott.

She went and brought a big black box. She thought she would throw it in the river so that it cannot take anymore lives. She picked up the necklace and looked at it for a moment. Although cursed yet it was still eye catching.

She sighed and put it on her neck for one last time. She couldn't resist it. It was like as if the necklace was exerting some sort of force to put it on. She looked at the mirror. Even wearing it with her casual outfit it made her look pretty. Just like a queen.

She was satisfied and didn't wanted to part with it. She frowned and took down the necklace. She packed it in the box and went out.

Within half and our she reached the river. She stood under the bridge looking at the big black box in her hand. She shook it once to make sure that the necklace was still inside and it was. Her heart was aching not wanting to let such a valuable piece go but it had to be done for the good.

She took a deep breath a with all her force she threw the box into the river and watched as it drowned. After few minutes she turned to go but as soon as she did she saw a woman standing looking at her. She got scared and jumped back.

Rachel was now only two step away from the river. Suddenly the woman shouted,' NO ONE HARMS MY NECKLACE !!!!' and she pushed Rachel into the river. Rachel couldn't shout nor she could swim. She felt as if someone has tied up her whole body. She struggled for sometime and then drowned.
....

Rachel again looked at the necklace embracing it's beauty. It shone as new.
' I hope the next bride not fall for this and turns out to be like me. May god bless her soul !! '.
