Alphonis Kafel, A Girl With A Dark Secret. Chapter Six: Nightmare Of The Silent Night..
I had taken three weeks off from transforming because I was too nervous about what had happened. There was no news about the suddenly and mysteriously burned out forest. I thought it was either that they found something that they didn't want the public to know or I had just missed it. Either way, it should come around again if I missed it, the news usually loves to repeat things. I have not been able to communicate with my other side yet, ever since that night she hasn't responded to me or our amulet. The core's glow had faded over the weeks because I have been calm but my veins are still more seeable than before. My grandma didn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. When night came I remained restless. "When are you going to tell me anything?" I thought to myself. Only a growl was my sides's response. "Just let her be, I'll anwser..." our amulet said. "Okay... that's fine as long as someone tells me anything." I thought. "The... our, our core has permenently formed in your body because it couldn't withstand the change so many times. So things will continue to get weirder and..." it said then stopped. "And what?" I asked. "There's a chance that you might under go changes that you must NEVER let a doctor or any other kind of human see. An example, may be more hearts and lungs, or organs in..." she replied until I interrupted, "Seriously? So I will be less human?" "Yes but your future is hazy and that's not normal since I can see..." it anwsered before my alien side growled. "Right." the amulet said before continuing, "Well, you get the point and I can't control it." I sat up on my bed and rubbed my eyes and shook my head. "Great, just great. Now you know I got a doctor apointment coming up. I'm getting a check up and you said they'll want an unexpected blood check?" I asked. "Yes but your blood should be normal for that long, I don't see them finding anything, I just mean for your future to be careful." it anwsered. I nodded my head then laid down and slowly fell asleep. I had a dream, no, a nightmare. I was running through a forest in fear for some reason. My thoughts were unclear but I think it was about killing someone. I was so scared that it triggered me to change, and very fast as well. The pain I couldn't feel because it's a dream but in my dream I screamed until I snarled. My other side was yelling something in its forieghn language. She made me fly under the meteor shower lit sky and I couldn't control the body then she made me turn around and go back. I cried for some reason until I saw the city, I was yelling at my other side to stop but she didn't. Our scales lit in with the colorful flames and then she released the largest flames from our mouth, I screamed and cried like I was in alot of pain. Screams came from the city until the flames engulfed the tallest buildings and only the roaring flames could be heard. The city was gone in under two minutes and the flames were that much hotter than normal fire. She flew high in the sky towards the stars and roared with an ear splitting screech. I woke up and my muscles jumped from the nightmare. I slowly got up to start the morning while I was trying to not pay attention to my nightmare. I ate breakfast and watched the news, still nothing unuasual. I decided that because it's a sunny day I'm going for a bike ride to the hill. When I arrived I was shocked, the forest covered hill was untouched and the trees fully alive with their October changing leaves. I stared at the forest in disbelief. "This... this isn't right, yesterday DID happen." I said quietly then drove beack towards home in disbelief. "You gonna tell me what's going on?" I asked the amulet as I put my bike on the back porch. "It's exactactly what it looks like, I reversed the forest's damage to avoid it being investegated by nosy homosapiens." it replied. "How?" I asked surprised. "I can do alot, it's all about creating elements and structure. Or by simply healing something that already exists. That too is not magic just science beyond you homo sapiens' control..." it anwsered. "Just say human, not everything needs human terms of a scientific name." I said with a roll of my eyes. "Well, your scientific names for things are more accurate." it argued. "Maybe more complicated and only that...Okay and boredom." I quietly said.
I completed the rest of the day but it was all in thought to how the hell my alien side could do so much, she is more like a goddess alien. Night was falling once more and with a rising full moon. I decided that my break was long enough and if those hunters some how lived, they shouldn't hopefully be back with me gone for weeks from the mysteriously healthy forest.
