( Autumn's Colors )
She came on a Sunday. These two men in black stepped up to the door, and behind them, was a fifteen year old girl. Her eyes were green. The little girl's hair was curly and black.

Agent -

"Mrs. Right," I sighed. "I believe you had a child, five years ago," I whispered. She frowned at me. The woman waited for me to show her, but, I had trouble with that. She disappeared.

Autumn -

I looked back at the woman, she can't be who I half to stay with. Dad had a massive heart attack. I suddenly had the urge to go back over there. I stuck my hand out, "I'm Autumn," my tone of voice is low, and shy.

Agent -

"Mrs..." She took the girl's hand, and instead of shaking it, she hugged her. "Her father passed away yesterday, our commanding chief."

Autumn -

I stared in disbelief. She just hugged me, and didn't even ask for my name, or anything.

Agent -

"She is going to be left in your care," the woman slowly nodded. She looked eager to get us away.

Mom -

They slowly left the porch, "sorry about that, I see a hand, I feel like it's to formal."

Autumn -

"So...you just...hug everyone?" I whispered. She nodded. "Your an idiot," I whispered under my breath. "What should I call you?"

Mom -

"Mom..."

Autumn -

"How about...some other name?" The woman frowned.

Mom -

"What...other name?"

Autumn -

"I don't know, what's your name?" This little girl came up behind her.

Luna -

"Mommy?"

Autumn -

"I won't be here long anyways," I tapped my chin.

Mom -

"Autumn is your name right?"

Autumn -

"Yes," I whis again.

Luna -

"Why are you so tall?"

Autumn -

"Why are you so short?" I snapped back. Slowly I stepped away from her. "Sorry, but I must leave."

Step dad -

"You just got here though."

Autumn -

I stared at him. He held his hand out, "you could have a million germs," I stuffed my hands into my pockets, "no thanks."

Mom -

"...That...was a little rude..."

Autumn -

"Sure."

Mom -

"Anyways, let's not get on my bad side."

Autumn -

"No, don't get on my bad side," I growled back. I dumped hand sanitizer on his hands, and she glared at me. "I'm Autumn," I placed my hand in his, "I have OCD."

Mom -

"What is..."

Autumn -

I cleared my throat, "clean freak..."

Mom -

"Oh...one of them..."

Autumn -

I rolled my eyes at her. "One of them!? Damn, you sure are getting on my nerves!"

Ally -

"Who..."

Autumn -

She smiled, but I didn't, she went to hug me, but I sprayed her with disinfectant spray, she froze completely, her smile stayed, "how many germs did you birth?"

Mom -

"Only three...your one of them."

Autumn -

"No...I am not...in fact...I still plan on leaving, I'm going back home to London."

Mom -

"London!?"

Autumn -

"Yes! London!" I wiped the handle down before opening the front door back up.

Mom -

I shut the door fast. "Come on, just, stay!"

Autumn -

"If I stay, then I won't be able to live in this house," I looked around, "especially, with it looking like this."

Ally -

"That's rude." One minute she stood there, the next she was dusting the living room, picking up clothes, and vacuuming the floors. Mom was so surprised by the results. The rooms looked better, and clean.

Mom -

"There's not...a single...spec of dust..."

Autumn -

"Dust can get people sick you know, it's best to keep your area's clean."

Step dad -

"Your one strange person."

Autumn -

They all stared at me. "Anyways, it was nice meeting you all," I looked at the time on my watch.

Mom -

"Darling, it's past midnight."

Autumn -

"Right..."

Mom -

"When is the funeral?" She frowned at me.

Autumn -

"The funeral..." I raised an eyebrow at her, "it's already done, why do you think I'm here?"

Mom -

She whined a little. "Don't be rude Autumn."

Autumn -

"Im not being rude," I walked to the door. "I just lost the only thing that mattered to me, why wouldn't I be like this? I meet my mother, and it seems her life is, lovely, while mine was dumped," I shrugged. "My father and I had very little, but what mattered in the end, was family, but you are not family."

Ally -

"Hey," I pushed my glasses up a little. "Listen, I know this is new to you, but don't you think you should cut some slack on mom? It's not like she knew where you were your entire life."

Autumn -

"Listen, I don't need a lecture from a nerd like you," I whispered. "At least the first born child wasn't put in a foster home, but that's probably because she had affair with my dad," her eyes widened. "Next time, use a condom, I hear they work some times."

Ally -

Mom didn't like what came out of her mouth. Before she could say anything, Autumn closed the door.

Autumn -

I boarded a train. I kept my blanket neatly on my lap as the train started rocking a little because of everyone else boarding. I closed my eyes a bit, because I felt like I was on a boat, I mean, there was a lot of people!

Someone sat next to me. They kind of, scooched closer to me, so I felt very uncomfortable. Slowly I grabbed the edge of my blanket, and I unfolded it.

Mom -

I watched her slowly cover herself up, she seemed like a natural at this. Her pillow was right on the bar handle as she fell asleep. This man kept staring at her, I'm glad I chased after her, even though I'm not as fast as I used to be.

Autumn -

I woke up to the whistle of the train. Did I really sleep for two days? Or is this the first stop?

Mom -

Autumn slept for two days, it was quiet on the train.

Autumn -

I got off the train very quick before the second whistle blew. I started up the stairs. Once I was at the top, I was being shoved every which way. People were really rude.

There he was. Oliver. He stood near a light pole. A smile crept up on my face.

Oliver -

"There she is! Top of the evening to you my mate!" I yelled out.

Autumn -

I bowed a little. He smiled and chuckled as I made my way to him.

Oliver -

"My dear friend, what did you drag in this time?" She frowned at me. This woman didn't smile one bit, she was drilling holes into Autumn's head.

Autumn -

I jumped a little. "How long have..."

Mom -

"The entire way," I crossed my arms at her. "You came back just for a boy!?"

Autumn -

Oliver raised an eyebrow at me. "No, it's not what you think..." He started walking away from me.

Oliver -

"Well? You two bobbleheads coming? Or are you going to stay til after dark?"

Autumn -

His smile was gone. We both walked awkwardly down the street together. Oliver is a good friend. He's had a crush on me since second grade. I didn't take consideration into his feelings when I left him. Slowly I broke him down easy because I had to leave and live with my mother.

Oliver -

"Over some boy yah?"

Mom -

It was like a negative vibe coming from the both of them.

Autumn -

"Just friends... remember? Or should I remind you?"

Oliver -

"Do whatever you need honey buns."

Autumn -

I rolled my eyes at him.

Mom -

"You two, aren't together?" She looked over her shoulder at me.

Autumn -

"No..." I looked forwards quickly. "We made dumb mistakes, let's just leave it at that."

Mom -

"What do you mean?" I couldn't help it now.

Autumn -

"I am in an arranged marriage," I stopped walking. "The prince needs a princess, and my father was their trusted friend," I crossed my arms and slowly started walking again. "His name, is, James."

Oliver -

I rolled my eyes, "perverted James."

Autumn -

I sighed at him. "James likes girls, especially virgins," I stared at Oliver.

Oliver -

"Why are you looking at me like that!?"

Autumn -

"Oliver, I want to ruin my marriage," I smiled.

Oliver -

"So, you expect me to help you?"

Autumn -

"Of course I do, your my best friend."

Oliver -

"...No...I'm good," she frowned at me. Autumn hasn't had a fair life. We got to the end of the road. Autumn sighed again before taking her way down a dirt road. She struggled a little with her suitcase.

Mom -

"Want some help?" She shook her head. She lead me to a house, a small house. The door was open, and some broken glass.

Autumn -

"Well...this is it, home sweet home."

Mom -

"No...I don't think so," I whispered. "Let's go, and I'll pay for a hotel room."

Autumn -

"There's nothing wrong with this place," I whispered back.

Mom -

"It could have spiders every where," I smirked. She then took a few steps forwards.

Autumn -

"Then I think it should probably be cleaned up, shouldn't it?" I smirked back. So, I went to the door and I opened it all the way. It was a hundred percent clean, just the way I left it. I let the woman come inside my home.

Mom -

"Fine," I held my hand out, but it just ended up with lots of hand sanitizer. I stared at the mess on my hands, the cold slimy mess.

Autumn -

"You want to be friends, I completely understand," I smiled.

Mom -

"No, not friends..."

Autumn -

"Yes, friends," I said it stubbornly back. "What's your name?"

Mom -

"Ella."

Autumn -

"Ella?"

Mom -

"Yes, Ella, what's wrong with the name?" Autumn shrugged.

Autumn -

"You tell me."

Mom -

I closed the front door, but it wouldn't shut all the way. Autumn came over, grabbed a chair, and placed it near the handle.

Autumn -

"There."

Mom -

I could tell she was struggling not to remove the chair.

Autumn -

Ella smiled a tad bit.

Mom -

"You do know," I whispered. "It was an affair, I wanted to keep you...but my husband would have found out."

Autumn -

"Looks like he found out either way," I growled a little. "I don't want to talk about this anymore," I slammed my purse down.

Mom -

"I get it, your angry with me."

Autumn -

"Why did you even come here!?"

Mom -

"Because! You got into my head...now, I need you."

Autumn -

"You don't need me, you just feel guilty."

Mom -

"No honey, I don't feel guilty," I sighed. "It saddens me to see you this way."

Autumn -

"Your a joke."

Mom -

"Yes, I really am, you should be laughing."

Autumn -

I glared. I showed her to her room, then I went to mine. I sat down at my piano. I started playing a little. I sighed though. I used to play this all the time, but then...

Mom -

She was staring at her bed for a while. I tapped her shoulder and she bolted away from me.

Autumn -

"Damn! What's your problem!?" She bounced back so fast.

Mom -

"I'm sorry!" I blurted. She scared the hell out of me.

Autumn -

Papa was working, and some men came bursting into my room. They killed nana, and took me, and tied me to a tree in the woods. I have a fear of dark places, and small spaces, uncleaned areas.

Mom -

Her eyes were bugged out.

Autumn -

Just thinking about it makes me sick. I started tapping my feet.

Mom -

"That's very annoying."

Autumn -

"Sorry..."

Mom -

She stopped, but then, she started fidgeting with her shirt. I sighed at her.

Autumn -

"Okay, please, leave my room?" She shook her head no.

Mom -

"I think I'll stay in here, with you, because, you gave me a room, that's window is broken, and it's very...cold."

Autumn -

"Fine! Don't complain about me then!" We layed down in the same bed.

Mom -

I found her cuddled up to me in the morning. I took a picture of her with me and sent it to my husband.

Autumn -

I slowly woke up. I didn't move, she was awake, she was smiling. I groaned a little as I moved my knees to my chest, snuggling into her shoulder.

Mom -

"You seem like your in a good mood."

Autumn -

"Would you shut up, did you even take a shower yesterday?" She looked over at me in a strange way. I got out of bed very fast, I grabbed a big bottle of hand sanitizer, and I started dumping it all over her! She glared at me as she got up. She took a shower as I got back on the piano, and then, I started singing a little. Oliver showed up. He handed me a bag of food.

Oliver -

"Date night, let's go."

Autumn -

"Date? Oliver!" He turned around and started walking away from me!

Oliver -

"Let's go!"

Autumn -

"I can't just go!" I yelled at him. "I have a date with James!"

Oliver -

"To bad!"

Autumn -

"No! Oliver! I gave you a chance!" I crossed my arms, "papa gave me to man... because you couldn't be one, and stand up for me..."

Oliver -

"I did everything I could!"

Autumn -

"By what!? Standing next to me!? That didn't help me Oliver! You can't expect me to cheat on James!" He turned and looked at me.

Oliver -

"Do you love him!?" I yelled at her.

Autumn -

"No! I don't love him!"

Oliver -

"Then tell me why you don't want to be with me!"

Autumn -

"...I...can't..." He didn't like that.

Oliver -

"I see no point on being friends then!" Her mother was right behind her.

Autumn -

"I can't be with you Oliver..." I sadly looked down. "James and my father made an arrangement...Oliver, everything I am, belongs to James, I can't be who you want me to be, papa sold me to this man for a job," I whispered.

Oliver -

"There was never an arrangement, was there?" She shook her head.

Autumn -

"My father needed a job, the prince needed a wife, he told James...I was a virgin..." I crossed my arms. "His parents wanted...a virgin."

Oliver -

"So your giving up? We could run Autumn! Some where that's not in the golly place!"

Autumn -

"I can't run! Don't you understand that?"

Oliver -

"No...I don't...if your that willing to marry a man you don't love, then that says something, doesn't it?"

Autumn -

"Why do you half to be this way!? Why do you care what I do with my life!?"

Oliver -

"It was supposed to be us Autumn!"

Autumn -

"I'm sorry! What else do you want me to do!? You didn't try and stand up for me! You left me Oliver! Don't expect me to love you back as a lover!" He walked away from me. I stared after him. "You don't understand Oliver!" I yelled out at him. Nobody understands. I started sniffling a little.

Mom -

"Autumn," I whispered. She turned and looked at me with such glum.

Autumn -

"I'll...be in the woods if you need me."

Mom -

"The woods?" She went back inside and came back with an orange coat and a bow. "I...don't feel comfortable letting you go out like this."

Autumn -

"Do you want food on the table!?" She raised an eyebrow at me.

Mom -

"Honey, I have a job, let me pay for it."

Autumn -

"Yah, so do I," I went on my way. Of course she had to follow. We got to the shack, and we sat there.

Mom -

"What do you do?" She brought her arm back, with the arrow ready to fly.

Autumn -

I breathed in, and put slowly. Just as I let the arrow fly, Ella jumped back making me jump back!

Mom -

"Did you hurt that poor thing?"

Autumn -

"Rule number one!" I was starting to get angry again. "Do not, touch me."

Mom -

"Okay."

Autumn -

She smiled. I usually take long hours of baths after skinning a deer, this time, it took more than two. Ella accidentally tripped, and the deer smacked right into me.

I came out glaring at her while she was pressing keys on my piano.

Mom -

"I can feel your eyes burning the back of my head Autumn."

Autumn -

"Can you tell how furious I am at you also!? I could have lost that deer! Your lucky the arrow even hit it's stomach!"

Mom -

"Chill out," I sighed.

Autumn -

"Chill out my ass!" She wiggled a piece of jerky around.

Mom -

"You caught it, and now, it's jerky," I smiled.

Autumn -

"It's not jerky, I don't know where you got that, but it looks disgusting."

Mom -

"It was in the fridge dear."

Autumn -

"Would you stop calling me dear?" I heard her mimick me. James stopped in, with his body guard. Ella wasn't to thrilled. They sat and just, stared at me as if I was their main dish.

James -

"Darling, your father has passed, you now belong completely to me," I smirked. "You do not half to live in this shaky den."

Autumn -

"What makes you think..." he placed his pointer finger on my lips, silencing me.

James -

"My butterfly, just sit, and be quiet, let me gaze apon your beauty."

Autumn -

"Beauty?" I rolled my eyes at him in disgust. "No man like you shall ever lay a single finger on me, I don't need your pity, or help," I smacked his hand away.

James -

"Feisty," I winced a bit. "I like a girl with a sense of rage, makes it all the more better in bed my lady."

Autumn -

"What am I? A lady? Or a girl?" His silence lasted for a few minutes. "Be careful on how you answer."

James -

The woman next to her crossed her legs and glared at me. "Woman."

Autumn -

"Woman?" I hit him hard. "Perverted cheeky bastard!" His body guard leapt up. "If I am the one you should be marrying! I suggest you speak to my face! Not her!" I pointed at Ella. "My eyes are here! Not down at my cat or boobs!" He was bewildered by my speaking.

James -

"Do not raise your tone at me! Sit down!" She did not.

Autumn -

"No! I'm tired of this! This isn't even a real date! If my papa seen how you were acting around me now! He'd kick your ass before letting you take me as your bride!"

James -

"Don't be so cold," I wiped my shoulders off.

Autumn -

"Cold!?" I grabbed him by his tie. "You want me! You can have me, but! First I'm going to show you what cold is!" I tossed him out of my house. "Come back! When you can own up to being a man! Come back when you can actually afford your time! With going on a date with your "future wife" if you don't! I can already tell you where this marriage is going!" He stood up and back handed me very fast.

James -

"You do not speak that way to me!"

Mom -

I grabbed Autumn's hand, I pulled her back, "I do not except you to marry her," my hand was still in her's as I spoke with hate. "Autumn is my daughter, I am her guardian, you will not, marry my daughter."

James -

I looked behind her mother, "she can't protect you forever, you know what's next, and I don't wish to harm you, but if you even think about doing anything reckless, I will kill him."

Mom -

He took his leave. As he got to the door though, I shouted at him, "don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out!" He glared at me. "Also! If you think that threat meant anything to anyone! Your dead wrong! A man who kills is a coward!"

James -

"Your a foolish woman," I growled on my way out the door.

Autumn -

I stared after him, and just as the door closed, Oliver came in, I was shocked, he handed me a gift basket.

Oliver -

"My apologies, all bundled up in the gift."

Autumn -

"How sincere," I rolled my eyes at him.

Oliver -

"I'm going to pretend, that you didn't do that."
