"POWER COUPLE? NO, JUST A COUPLE"
There came a moment in my life where I did not believe that true love still existed. Maybe because I've lived in a time where I've seen too many broken marriages, relationships and I just concluded. But not in a million years will someone ever convince me that true love does not exist, even if in my lifetime I get to encounter heartbreak after heartbreak, not even my mind will be able to convince me otherwise. Which made me wrote a quote which says "80% of us will meet people who were never meant to be in our lives and that should never make you feel like there is something wrong with you" b/c there is your soulmate somewhere somehow waiting for you to meet and you will also have the same perception that shows you that true love does exist.

Romeo and Juliet was just a tale, Bonnie and Clyde was also just tale but Shona and Connie Ferguson became the reality of what many got to experience only through a written fairytale love script. If it is a calling for a man to love his wife more than the oxygen he breathed, then definitely Shona was called by God. And I might not have had the opportunity to sit with them under one roof, but what they shared with us was enough for me to be able to differentiate between the colour of love. Love is when someone is able to make you smile, make you laugh and even shed a tear with the colour of joy, making you to feel the love even when you are on the other side. And they did even exceedingly for me to feel that kind of warmth, to desire to be loved with so much passion like that. Yes, Shona loved his kids so much but the kind of love he gave his wife was the heaven on earth experience. He didn't just sang along that meaningless "Connie I love you" but he loved her loudly, unapologetic and beautifully. Anything that ever came out of his mouth whether on an interview, gatherings etc, it was "Connie Connie Connie" because there was no him without her, just as they promised to become one in front of God then they became one.

Held hands together, Prayed together, Cried together, Laughed together, hustled together, Made dollar together, Travelled the world together, Danced together, Romantic dinner under the moon together and lied down on a carpet every Sunday together and most importantly woke up on each other's arms almost every single day. If you are an observer, you will see that Connie has "not easily to laugh" personality but Shona made her laughter sounds like guitar strings full of sweet melodies.

In life you don't have to fight for validation, a man who is ready to love you will love you effortlessly and that is what he did. I simply cannot wait to share this love tale with my children because this one deserve to go down in the History Book. A power couple, one-time kind of love that gave us a lifetime.

SHONA🕊️ & CONNIE FERGUSON everybody! 🥂
