The Girl with a Ribbon around her neck

It was an hour into our date, she was perfect , but I still wondered, so I asked her, “ Why do u always wear a ribbon around your neck”, the reaction which followed after that was rather oblique rather than being shocked, you could feel the intensity in her movements, I could have sworn that she shifted characteristics, but what can I say, I was our first date, I couldn’t keep my eyes off her and that was obvious, she was nothing short of perfection right from her hair to the last tip of her hair, and of course she had to round it all together with her perfect posture, grace and poise. Perfection in human form you might add.
But…., as soon as I brought up the ribbon matter the sudden hostility about her caught my attention , you could tell that she was making everything seem the same when it wasn’t, she started shuffling around and her hand movements made it clear that the ribbon wasn’t something that she enjoyed having, it seemed more like she was hiding something underneath, or maybe its something she fabricated as her style choice when in fact it wasn’t, I mean the possibilities were endless but not knowing what the honest truth was had me in chains, I felt trapped, my perspective of her was on the line, I guess she could feel my sudden interest towards her fashion sense and maybe she felt that it wasn’t something I should be interested in, maybe it wasn’t my business, but she never answered that question.
We were in the middle of our meal then, and the next thing I heard was her asking for the waiter to provide her with the cheque, I was astonished at first but when I tried asking her what the matter was, all she did was give me a look, it was the most demeaning look I had ever seen, I had never witness such anger and disgust in a women eyes then the one she gave me. You could actually see the kind of anger she bottled inside, and by the looks of it she had a lot inside there, but I couldn’t help but wonder how a total stranger could make a woman pissed of in a matter of seconds, what if something else was on her mind, what if she had already been angry before entering the restaurant, but then again you can never tell with a woman, most harmless matters seem to make them the most interested.
As determined as I was I asked her again, “ what’s wrong, talk to me” , and she said everything is fine, apparently there wasn’t a problem with her, she was very calm, but well the eyes are the windows to the soul, and her soul wasn’t at all happy at that time, then she said, “ can I tell you a story? “ and as sure as I was agreed to her request, I quickly told the waiter to take the cheque away, that little smile which she made was interesting it was as if she knew what I was getting myself into.
She look at me with a little warning sign, ‘ if you know what I mean’
Then she started grinning at me, peculiar you might think but trust me a few minutes into the story she told made it clear why that particular grin entered her faced. The fact that she never truly introduced herself to me was the first thing which should have been a warning sign, but hey you can never know. Then she continued, “ now listen with your heart not with your ears” is what she said. I struggled for a whole hour, after listening to what she said I think my perception changed for some sort, she found comfort in the most weirdest of stories, then she went on,……..
She said, “Now imagine yourself in a room full of flowers, pink, beautiful, soft and rather I say silk lilies. It’s an exquisite site isn’t it? Now try to think about how those beautiful flowers slowly turning black all of a sudden, and their almost heavenly smell completely switching towards this disgusting stench. As you get your head off the floor,….
You know the best things about grave yards is the kind of flowers which bloom on to of them, much too beautiful not to notice isn’t it”. She gave me a little laugh while steering right into my eyes. She had this urgentness about her, more like she was trying to reach somewhere before her time was over. When the waiter came with the cheque she of course grabbed it so tightly that I was afraid to offer paying it.
When she was all sorted out and ready to leave the restaurant, just after she had just stood up I said, “what happened to the beautiful flowers?”, with a chuckle she smiled at me and said, “ the flowers will always be, they just need to find a place that’s all.” I tried to ask about her name, she was more reserved about her life than I would have imagined, she still never gave me a definite answer, all she did was smile at and then tucked her hand into mine in order for us to walk out together, I obliged of course.
As we walked through the town, with its simplicity, we came across a church, it was as white as snow, with its exquisite kind of flair, mostly peculiar for a church to be, but it was non the less, While looking at the church she smiled and said, “ not everything is as it seems you know, nobody ever listens to every perspective, it’s a pity how humans always perceive things, too tangled up in their own emotions to truly understand the circumstances of everything. Such poorly made species.” She was starting to scare mw at tis point, it sounded like she was trying to presume herself as something other than what she looked like.
As we were getting closer to the towns graveyard, she starting talking about what real homes are like, as if we were getting closer to her residence, and when we were completely Infront of the grave site, she said, “ you know death is the one absolute certainty for every living species, the whole cycle seems meaningless when death comes knocking, I don’t why people fear it, its not like there is even the slightest chance of surviving it. Truly idiotic behaviour I might say.” She then looked at me and asked, “ What do you think it will be like when u finally let go of this façade of life?” I mumbled so much that she smiled and thus tilting her head a little to the right and said, " would you like me to help you figure out what happens?" while giving me a little sinister laugh, I tried to ask what she meant by that but all she did was walk closer to me that I ran off from there, giving everything I had, just before I could het to me house I backed out.....

I was scared so much so that all I really remember was waking up in a room full of beautiful, pink, soft, silk lilies,……..
To be continued.
