The Boy who discovered true India.
Once upon a time there lived a bright little boy, in a small town in
India. He loved going to school and loved reading, especially
stories. Stories about everything and everyone. And so, his
favorite subject was History, as it had many stories.
That little boy was fascinated when he learnt about the glorious
past of India. He listened attentively when his history teacher
taught him in class " India used to be one of the wealthiest
countries of the world. Rest of the world was eager to trade with
it. There were many great Kings and emperors in India like
Ashoka, whose rule was called 'The Golden era' . India was
superior to the rest of the world in everyway" and so on, his
teacher taught him.
Having heard his teacher, he started to imagine a vivid picture of
'The Golden era' of India. Broad and clean streets with trees on
either sides, beautiful and neatly lined up houses. People all
around dressed in opulent dresses, with happy and content faces.
Men, women and children wearing gold ornaments and yet they
were not worried about getting robbed. Shops selling...
