The spark of two
It's in my dreams that I see her. The same dream repeated. Repeated night after night. We have never met in the real world but I know if we did. If I ever met her I would die for her.

Once again I wake up in my bed. A morning-glory to be proud of and a bladder fuller than a water bomb. My alarm clock is still beeping. As I jump out of bed I knock it off.

Breakfast is a slice of toast grabbed as I run out of the door. Calling back to my parents as I'm out and running for the bus. One day I will be up early enough to sit and eat breakfast then walk to the bus.

Like always my friend Shaun is sitting on the back seat with a space saved for me. And like always I have to push past every other kid on the bus that can't get a seat near their friend. When I get to the back Shaun moves his bag and I drop down with a heavy thud. He looks at me and says.

"Your looking rough. Same dream again?"

Shaun has been my friend since day one at nursery. We have been inseparable since. What he doesn't know about me isn't worth knowing and visa versa. I drop my head as I answer him.

"Yeah, same dream. Does it mean anything or am I just not right in the head?"

"Easiest question ever asked. Your not right."

With his little jibe, he gave me a dig in the arm. Nothing too hard just a quick jab. It was had enough to make me rub it though and there was going to be a bruise.

School went about as well as any other day. This time I was on the bus before Shaun. So I got us the back seat. Shaun didn't get on. This wasn't unusual he had most likely got himself detention. I could not be bothered looking for anyone else to talk to on the journey so I sat watching the world roll by.

The bus had five stops no more and no less. We had made our third stop. As the bus pulls away I see Shaun talking to a girl. Not just any girl but the girl from my dream. In a flash I'm up at the front of the bus banging on the door to get off.

The driver is shouting at me my fellow pupils are shouting at me. It takes a moment for me to register any of them as Shaun and the girl slowly disappear.
