I said They day has come, my baby's graduation day. did the years just go by so fast or did I lose track of time. I remembered all her dance recital's and basketball games. its was like yesterday, sitting on the back porch watching her swim. she use to say look mama, imma a mermaid. I would tell her you a beautiful mermaid baby. It wasn't too long before she had two twin brothers to pick on. "finally I can have my own room." broderick says, the oldest twin by 5 minutes. "yeah you stink like dirty socks anyway." tyson said, the other twin. "mane shut up jerk, I smell good, that's why all the ladies want me." broderick said strutting his stuff. "oh gosh, shut up." natalia said, grossed that her brother actually thinking he was all that. "Good evening, thank you for joining us on this special day for our following graduates of Stuyvesant High School, Class of 2020.before we hand out students their diplomas, we have a guest speaker, a fellow graduate that like to share a few words, welcome Mrs. Natalia Brown." he said as everyone cheered and clapped. "Thank you, first off I wanna give a shout out to my mom and dad and nanny and paran for always pushing me to always follow my dreams. this wouldn't be possible without you guys. second congratulations, class of 2020!, I know in high school we make good friends but when this day comes we all branch off. we all have our own journey to follow. we will make mistakes, but it's ok, were not perfect, life will be fustrating but we must not stay in the area of fustration, we have so much more to go and explore, but never forget where you started from, behind these walls carry memories unforgettable, thank you." natalia said as she walked down the stage. "yes sir." broderick said " Thank you Natalia for the beautiful introduction, now it's time to announce our graduates, please come up and collect your diploma as we announce your name. while we sat there for a good while until they finally said my baby's name. "Natalia Brown." the speaker said. Natalia did her model walk and flipped her hair as she collected her diploma. "Yeah you go baby!" I yelled "Go sis!" broderick shouted "work that walk girl."Candice said Mark and marcus made barking dog sounds. them two was something else. when graduation was over, all the graduate's tossed their hats in the air and cheered. we all gsther back at my home as we prepare to send my baby off to Harvard. "say niece poo ain't little no more, who gonna lie for me when I try to sneak food, I'm hurt." mark said "paran you crazy." natalia said, hugging him. "oh my first born, my baby, unk derek would of proud of you, we all are, now you go in there and show them how us browns and Montgomery's do it." I said "yeah girl show them how it's done, your cousin went there, he moved to Louisiana, he's a doctor too." candice said "imma be great I promise." natalia said "Don't work yourself to hard, you know our door is always open when ever you wanna come home and take a break, you be careful sweetheart." marcus said "I will I promise bye dweebs." natalia said as she got into her brand new Nissan versa her paran and nanny pinched in on for her birthday one year. she waved good bye as she pulled off to her future.
