The ride was a long one. I kept saying "are we there yet?" every five minutes just to keep myself busy and annoy Steve, then he just silenced me by tuning the radio high up.
We finally reached our destination, as always his mom stood on the balcony waiting for us, basically him. Steve parked the car at the driveway and turned off the engine, then we both sighed simultaneously,
"You ready for this?", he asked me,
"Would you believe me if I said yes?"
He leaned in and gave me a kiss on my cheek, "You'll be fine", he smiled then got out of the car.
I watched him walk over, give his mum a hug and do some mother and son bonding,damn they looked so alike.
I used that opportunity to get a good look at her again, she was a woman in her early sixties, definitely looking a lot younger than her age,she had this contagious...
