Mummy Christmas
It was Christmas Eve. I dozed off before the fireplace. My eyes open almost after an hour and I could not recognise my drawing room. Probably my glasses were foggy for as soon as they were rubbed clean, I was back from my dreamland. Let's rather not call it ' dreamland ' for I personally do not watch dreams or its rare, I guess. Whatever for, after all, it was Christmas and the celebrations must begin.
The clock struck 11:58 pm and I ran to the balcony, and took out the lengthy letter, my childish ideas had painted, dedicated to Santa. As soon as the clock struck twelve, I felt an angelic and sudden unknown ray of hope or feeling that closed my eyes purposely with a sensitive touch. When I opened my eyes out of malicious trust in magic, I viewed a beautiful angel in front of me but not facing me. A blink of an eye and there was no one except a pink card with a " Merry Christmas, beautiful girl" painted on it in a weird cursive. I was about to start pondering only if I didn't wake up! Oh, it actually was a dream. I found myself lay on my cozy decorated bed beside the Christmas tree and I was nowhere around the fire place.
But my hands held the same pink card with the identical message in a weird cursive. I was about to begin wondering again when I assured to not waste a minute of the special day.
After the morning prayers and small celebrations, I felt a sudden pang of unknown excitement to really sort out who it was. Now, when I'm too confused, the options I find are either to daydream, to really solve the problem or to let universe do it. My cake was yet to be prepared, thus the last option was chosen. I did spread a purple pretty napkin over which I placed my phone, and eagerly waited for a special timing indulged into chores. As soon as the alarm rang "11:11" am sharp, I rushed like anything, stared at the four 1s and asked my question in mind. Successfully I managed to stop staring before 11:12 but the deal breaker was the mind's chatter. The more I tried to focus on my wish and clear my mind, the more it got cluttered. Anyways, I leave this thing here and let my vibration flow. Okay, I know how privileged my words might seem to you but believe me, the incident let itself to be much funnier, simpler and stupid.
It was a beautiful sunset that I viewed from the park. No friends were invited this year but nature managed to take their roles and make me madly love it. That was when I was reminded again of that secret message (though I recalled it at intervals before). Unconsciously, with the same thought, I didn't notice myself in a long walk out of the park in another beautiful nature's seat that took off my heart. When one has a sun, it's light, so many beautiful sceneries, leafy chirps and angelic sound, how can they ever be unhappy!?
Unfortunately of course, there came a time when it grew darker and I had to return home.
The lock uncertainly wasn't there and thr door was likely to be opened. Suspicious, almost like a thief, I inspected who broke into my house. Alas! It was mummy, what s great surprise! Her innocent face when she didn't know why I walked so suspiciously and the courteous laughter when she knew, made my day. Well, not just day, night as well with the delicious pudding, cake and her special cookies. You still ponder how momma got in? Oh, it's because she took the extra key I lended to a trusted neighbour. And that secret message, oh, do you still ask about it? It was this angel. Maybe find out who??
Merry Christmas~
