Shated Dreams part 2

The old house stood dilapidated and full of memories.

As it was now Sunday it was time to go back to Thurnscoe comp,

The cottage was cleen and the boys had the lovely job of empty the 2 toilets into the hole that had been dug to put the waist in.

That morning the sun came up Earley and the crow's where bisy with their thing and as we began to walk dawn to the school bus they seemed to notis us and followed us flying in the woods.

Once all the gear was in the bus we set off as we got to Barnsley Town center some one was dropped off, then we carried on to Thurnscoe.

As we got to Clayton Lane I new there was no bus home and a 2 mile walk was the only way home.

The bus pulled into the school and we all had a job of putting thing's away then we could go home.

It was 2pm and I knew their was no one going to be home till 4 pm so I would walk slowly home.

With it been Sunday you could not go out the back way so I had to walk 1/2 way dawn Clayton Lane as that is where the school gait was then on to Holton Road, on this road if you went to your right it would take you to little Houghton road that way was full of little roads and fileds my journey would be to turn left and into the village,

On this road you would have the big lamp a sine of a time gone by as it stood all alone on a island of concrete path way to remind you the trams would stop there and turn back round to go to Goldthorpe.

As a young child we would get the old kind of bus witch dropped you of there and then turned the seat's round and in side it was made of wood and leather seats.

But now in 1976 it was where you got a bus to Barnsley.
