CHAPTER ONE
"Someone help! Anybody!!! help, please", Madam Jacqueline screamed in pain. She could hardly believe the severity. She already had two kids, and none of them presented with this shear force of labor pains like her current pregnancy. "Mom, what's wrong?" Eliana, her elder daughter rushed into the kitchen at the sound of her mother's screaming. Here was her mom lying helplessly on the tiled kitchen floor, in a pool of water (or so, she thought). "Mom, did you slip?", she asked innocently. "Stop asking me silly questions and just call your dad!" she shouted at her daughter. Feeling a bit confused, Eliana did as she was told. She dialed her dad's number several times but couldn't get a hold of him. She returned to her mom to inform her, only to find her passed out on the kitchen floor. She immediately rushed out to call for help. Luckily, their neighbor, Mr. Anderson had just returned from town in his cab. He had other matters to attend to, but the frightened look on Elaina's face would be forever implanted in his memory if he turned his back on her.
