The Heart
The more I pined for it the more it made me desperate.
A heart is not an easy thing to have, whether in love or a condition leading to death as mine. I was struggling with an enlarged one and waiting desperately for a miracle.
There was a call from the hospital about a brain dead patient whose parents had consented for his heart to be donated.
I was the fortunate one the Doctors told me excitedly, as I was a perfect match and I could be the recipient of the same.
The parents of the donors though wanted to meet me.
Oh it's you said the father and I was speechless too,
my mind suddenly went blank and the only thing I could see was me kicking the same family out of my house for not paying the rent on time.
