Takesi’s third cousin, Honoka glared at Asaka. She ran her eyes down her body length, her eyes gleaming with judgemental gaze.

“So, you are the guest your highness has been hiding.” Honoka said.

“Who is she?” Asaka whispered to the maiden who was assigned to help her. Chiyo, the maiden looked at Honoka who was her master. Honoka had bribed the maiden to know her whereabouts throughout the day.

“She is your highness's third cousin, Honoka. She is quite close with the king.” Chiyo answered politely.

Asaka hummed and smiled at the woman infront of her not knowing her true intentions. Though Asaka was selfish and cruel in her own ways.
Asaka’s eyes fell on the ring on her finger, which glittered in the dark hallway. It looked expensive with diamonds.

“This is your highness's gift for my birthday. He always likes to gift things.” Honoka replied. She’d eyes on the king for a long time, not for the love but for the fortune.

“It's beautiful.” Asaka said genuinely.

After the little chat with Honoka, Asaka returned to the chambers she shared with the king. The gossip was steaming outside the palace about her.

The days passed and the full moon was approaching yet nothing happened. She was afraid of what awaited her.
