Doppelganger
I'm Jake, the eldest among my siblings. I have two younger sisters, Jessa and Jenny. I can say my family's a bit wealthy that's why I can do whatever I want. I'm actually a bit of an asshole but who cares, though.
I'm a type of person who leaves the house late at night but goes home early morning then I'll get pissed off by my sister's nonsense bullshit stories everytime I arrive at home. Jenny is 14 years old yet still acting like a child.
She told me she saw me last night at our veranda but then she knew I always leave the house at 6:00 in the evening then go home at 6:00 in the morning. She told me she feels scared because she always sees me in every part of the house during night time.
I just laughed at her senseless story but then when she told me not to leave the house every night, I felt irritated. I really don't want other people to stick their noses on my business even though they're still my family.
Just like now, I'll hang out with my friends, enjoy life while I still can. So, I'll probably go home early morning again.
I asked mom's permission before I went inside my car when Jenny called me.
"Jake! wait,"
I stopped the car and turned to her with furrowed forehead.
"What is it this time, Jenny?"
"Can you please stay at home right now? Everytime you leave, I always see your doppelganger"
"Fuck that doppelganger, tell him not to be a coward and face me so I can punch that idiot in your imagination"
"It's not just my imagination, you can even ask granny. She also saw it. Why aren't you listening?"
"Jenny, stop it. Just go back inside and stop pissing me off"
I didn't give a fuck to what she said. I enjoyed my night and went home drunk. I just simply laid down my bed then sleep.
When I woke up, I immediately teased Jenny.
"Hey! did you see my doppelganger twin again last night?"
"No"
"See! I told you it's just your crazy imagination"
"Mom and I will visit Jessa and granny in our province, you should come with us. It will only take one day so---"
I cut her off and say,
"I'm not coming. I'll play online game, so you can both just leave me here"
She just closed her mouth and stopped talking since she can't really force me to come.
They both left and I'm alone at home. I devour all the food on the refrigerator and play online game the whole day .
It was 2:00 a.m. when I stood up and went to the kitchen to get some more snacks on my empty plate.
On my way to the kitchen, I saw my Granny's rocking chair moved. I didn't really care much about it but then when I was supposed to go back to my room, I suddenly stopped my track the moment I saw someone watching TV at our living room.
I got a bit confused to who exactly that person is because for all I know, I am the only one at home right now.
"Hey! your trespassing someone's property"
I followed his movement when he moved to my Granny's rocking chair. He even played with it as if no one talked to him.
"Did you fucking hear me? leave or I'll report you to the police"
I went straight to the TV to turn it off when the guy turned his head towards me. I suddenly had goosebumps all over my body when I saw that he looks exactly like me.
I tried to breathe normally to be relaxed. He kept starring at me then suddenly, a creepy smirk appears on his lips.
Shit! I'm a guy but fuck I'm scared.
I can't explain my heartbeat right now. What Jenny said was really true.
When he stood up and walked near me, I immediately run out of the house as fast as I can but he just suddenly appeared in front of the door with a fucking knife then slit his throat in front of me.
Then just a few minutes, I felt pain on my throat and saw blood flowing on my shirt. I was having a hard time talking and breathing then I just suddenly saw darkness and lost my consciousness.

"Hey! Jake, wake up.. wake up!"
When I open my eyes I saw Jenny crying while mom, Granny and Jessa are sitting beside her.
"Where am I?"
"Our driver sent you here in the hospital. He said he saw you holding a knife then you suddenly slit your throat. Jake! What happened to you? Why did you try to commit suicide?" --mom
"Jake! tell me, did you see your doppelganger?" --Jenny
I froze when I saw the bench behind them. There, I saw myself sitting and looking straight to my eyes, smiling like a fucking demon.
"Jake?" --Jenny
"Let's leave the house. There's a demon living there. Please let's leave before he kills me"
I was being hysterical when the doctor came and injected something to make me calm. The last thing I saw before I doze off to sleep was my family crying and that creepy doppelganger's demonic smile.
