SALVATION
TEXT: Eph. I:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation
in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise."
KEY VERSE: Eph.2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.'"
Sin is of the devil, and anyone who lives in sin has submitting himselfto the leadership and control of the
devil.
Any man who sins, carries a load that belongs to Satan and with that load on him he cannot be
admitted into God's Kingdom.
But Jesus Christ came to take away the load of sin fromn man and to destroy its
works and effects in us. Isa.61:1-3.
That is why the Bible says, "He that committeth sin is of the devil;
for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He
might destroy the works of the devil."
1John 3:8
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are
aiive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God" Rom.6:12-13
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
John 8:34
"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."Rom. 10:8-10
Salvaion is the greatest gift to man, from God. It is gotten by grace free of charge, without works.
Any man without the salvation of God is in the bondage of the devil, there is no middle point or sitting on the fence here.
One is either in the bondage of Satan or in the salvation of God.
Salvation can also be lost when a person goes into living in sin.
The bible enjoins us to maintain our salvation, by ""working it out", that is by being faithful in our walk in the Lord in righteousness and true holiness.
Keep reading the Bible, in prayer, in evangelism and follow up, in fellowship with the Lord and the brethren.
Philipians .2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now
much more in my absence, work out your own s salvation with fear and trembling.
