12:55 am - Ben had his hand on Luna's thigh tapping his finger anxiously as they drove back to the restaurant to figure out what to do next. They were almost halfway there when Luna took the photo she had taken out of Ben's hand earlier. Looking at it now she could see the girls smile from when the polaroid was taken. She could also see a clothesline in the back with freshly dampened clothes and a gray sky of molten clouds. Her eyes started to get glossy and scared not for her safety but for the safety of the people she was putting in danger. It was the same dilemma she had before, but how could she stop helping, the only way for this to work is to keep her safe.
“Ben,” She looked at him wearily, took his hand into hers, his eyes were still on the road but he squeezed her hand reassuringly.
“We need to find her, or else I don't know! I don’t… know?”
“Or else you feel like you won’t be able to live with yourself.”
“Exactly! Do you think we can stop by my house, I need to get something that I think will help us”
“Yeah anything that will help”
2:00 pm - She grasped the door handle, she wanted to go back, to the safety of Ben, and the false safety that he could protect her from anything. But she had to do this. They have to find the girl. She went inside, noting that nothing had moved since she was last here. She could hear someone rummaging through the fridge in the kitchen, So she ran up the stairs while she had the chance.
She got to her room, rummaged through her things, found a duffle bag, and her laptop. In the duffle bag she put her charger, some clothes and that was it, she didn't want to be here, she didn't want to see her mom, she couldn’t.
