Lonely Cat
The warm summer breeze, blew gently against her allowing her long brunette hair to move in time with the trees that were swaying from side to side lightly.
Sitting there at the local reservoir, watching the swans swim gracefully in time with one another. This was fast becoming her favourite pass time. It was somewhere she would go on her lunch break, mainly because it was five minutes away from her work place, so she was able to have an hour of doing absolutely nothing but sit there and relax. Closing her eyes she allowed the breeze wash over her.

She pulled out her phone and scrolled through her messages, in which she would have recieved in the morning. There wasn't many to go through, she put it back in her bag. She shivered a little, the breeze was picking up a little brushing against her arm, causing goose pimples to raise on her arms, she pulled her coat back on, as if admitting to being a little chilly.

Ella looked at her lunch, wondering why suddenly she didn't feel as hungry as she had been, when she had purchased it, placing it back in her hand bag, slowly standing herself up, she decided to take a walk around the reservoir, something she hadn't done before, she just had a strong feeling she needed to do this.

The walk was a pleasant walk and had been for a good ten minutes, the sun still shining, with the gentle breeze, her gaze wondered towards the swans, which was when she spotted him, so close to the reservoir, he had big brown eyes he was mostly tabby with a pure white chest and one white paw, he was a short haired cat, it seemed a bizzare sighting, she'd never seen a cat walking around in a park by itself. She looked around her, in search for the possible owner to be present somewhere close by, but there was no-one. she spun herslef around all around her was an empty park, again another strange occurrence, usually this park was full of people. Even if they were just using it to pass through to get to somewhere. Infact the park had become unusually quiet, just when she felt she needed to find someone for the little cat.
Gently she walked over to it, slowly crouching down in front of him.

"Hey little guy, you lost" She asked it. It stood frozen to it's spot for a few moments before it took two steps forward, "You look lost" She added sitting herself down on the floor, again the cat froze. Clearly trying to work out what sort of person she was. "It's ok, I'm not here to hurt you" She promised the cat, "Just wanna' help you" She added, the cat looked at her briefly and sat it's self down, seeming like a stubborn protest, as he wouldn't move closer to her, but wouldn't run in another direction either. "Where's your owner? Did you lose them somewhere in here?" she asked. Sometimes people liked to walk their cat on a lead, she wondered if that was the case here. Did he get out of the harness and run off? Has he ventured out on his own with the same result? Or was he a stray? The questions in her mind seemed endless, she had that many.

"They have to be looking for you, you look like you've been looked after" She pointed out, however she noticed there was no collar on him, "Are you really gonna' stay that far away from me?" she questioned the cat, as if expecting it to answer her. He looked at her as if he wanted to respond, although he stayed exactly where he was, still protesting help. Ella took a look around her again, still there was no-one around.
"Oh, what do I do?" She asked the cat, "I can't just leave you out here by yourself" She added, the cat looked at her again, she believed he was trying to ask her why?
"You can't be alone out here" she told him, "Someone, somewhere is missing you" she added, the cat do that it's their way of saying hello, which made her believe he was starting to get comfortable with her presence. "Good boy" She said gently hoping that made him feel more reassurance. As soon as the cat neared her she picked him up. "Come on, let's see if we can find your home" she said and carried him back to her office.

Weeks went on and there was still no sign of anyone coming forward to claim the cat, it was starting to look as though no-one owned him. The more time she spent with him the more of a bond she had formed .
That evening on a cold evening where the wind was heavier than it had been, blowing her hair everywhere and the bitter cold brushing against her face she carried him back to her apartment.
