My dear (as they both sat down), is it
what I'm thinking
Tunde. I don't know, but this is more than
what you are thinking. This time
around, no evil was manifested.
Bisiola. (Sighs)Based on that issue, I think we
should leave the village
Tunde. Well, that is a good idea. I have also
thought of it,but you know that the
evil has both front and back eyes, and
if we managed to escape, what about
the farmland passed down from my
forefathers ? In fact, I'm not interested
anymore.
Bisiola. Well, anything you say, my lord,
infact you have tried well,
Tunde. I'm tired and hungry, get me food to eat
Bisiola. What would you like to eat
Tunde. Eba and egusi

ancestors. I thank you
(As three women in black-and- red attire appear to him)
Witch 1. Tunde, where is the farm harvest?
Tunde. Farm harvest, I have no farm harvest,
and I'm just planning to go to the
farm.
Witch 2(red). I hope you know you are playing
with fire and also your life. We
knew you before you were
knew. We just give you one week
only. Otherwise, you will die.
(As they disappeared and Bisiola entered)
Bisiola. My dear, come and eat (pause). Wait
a minute, why is this ugly
countenance on your face? What
happened?
Tunde.(sad) They came (as bisiola drop the
food on her hand to check who came)
Bisiola. Nobody came or is it Iya basirat or
iya quadri the sugar seller which of
them? Because there is no sign of
slippers on sand. You are making me
scared and demolishing my
confidence. Speak out.
Tunde. Does a snake who crosses a
mountain leaves tracks. The witches
visited me saying, "Where is my
harvest?"
Bisiola(Eager to listen ) What do you say?
Tunde. I told them I have no farm harvest and
I'm just about to go to the farm and
they say that they give me just one week only. Otherwise (as tears come out ), I will die.
Bisiola. God forbid,
you will not die but live
you see why I said we should leave
the village
Tunde. I've heard you
(AS TUNDE CLEANS HIS TEARS)
Bisiola. Okay, come and eat your food
Tunde. I don't even feel like eating, I have lost
my appetite .
