Nothing waits
"Look,"
She shouted,and Nova stared at her with expressionless eyes.She didn't care more or less about this world.
"What if I don't want to look ?"
She sighed,looking at the bug who just sat on her sneakers,while she was constantly moving her legs sitting on the wooden bench.
"Okay,I get it that you don't want to look.But what if its something good for you to see ?"
Stella smiled at her, knowing exactly what her young sister was going through.
"What if its something that is bad for me to saw ?"
Nova replied,still staring at the bug who was doing strange gestures with its legs.
"How would you know if its good or bad for you if you not look at it !?"
Stella shrugged,now looking sadly at her sister.
"Even if I gather the strength to look above,I might not be able to react accordingly,so its better if I do not look,"
She replied,still expressionless.
Stella sighed.She knew that her sister was crazy ever since,but now she regret it,letting her sister fall in love.It was making her crazier and she could not stand it further.
"There are some things I don't like to do,just like you don't want to look where I want you to ! but I still do those things for the people I love and appreciate ! and I think you should do that too!"
There was a sense of force in her voice,and Nova felt herself losing against her sister.
"Fine,"
She sighed
"What do you want me to see ?"
She said as she raised her head and looked at her sister.
"Thankyou,but its too late"
Stella replied,and looked at the bewildered expressions of her sister.
"What...? What do you mean ?"
She frowned.
"The thing I wanted you to see..is gone..."
She smiled while looking at the sky.A cloud looked like a funny, little icecream cone,floating but not melting.
"You see dear sis,things do not wait for us.Everything is not going to stay at the same place just because we want them too.Things change, people move on,...no one stays ...."
She looked at her,after completing her sentence.Nova's eyes were not expressionless anymore.They were shining as if she found the answer of something she was searching for a long time ago.But her heart was still blank.Why is it so hard to move on ? Why you can't get rid of people,of memories,of things you don't want to remember ?
Stella knew that it wasn't going to be easy for her to support her sister,but all she can do now was to be there for her.Its not necessary to support someone in their decision if you think they are wrong,and its not necessary to go against them either.You can just stay there,beside them,hold their hand and tell them that no matter what effect,good or bad,their decision will make,you'll always stay there with them.
Not everything needs an explanation.Not every explanation need words.Sometimes just being there for the people you love,explains everything without the actual use of proper words.Thats how life goes on.Nothing stays the same, nothing waits for you,nothing really cares about your existance.But if there is someone who stays with you,when nothing does,you should consider yourself the luckiest person on Earth.
