Why?
(knock....knock)
The door creaks, as she walks in...tired but with a purpose. She needs to talk. She has things she wishes to tell him.
Jane has had an awful day at work. With the racist, sexist comments and all the hate...she's exhausted. Once again, she could not stand up for herself; she doesn't which to lose her job.
Her husband, Kalen, just lost his business. She has become the breadwinner. Jane had an appointment with the doctor today. She missed her period and thought she had hit menopause, with no children to show for it.
Jane is in her early 50s. She's gone her whole life with no recognition, plenty abuse - physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually. She asks herself everyday, "why do I still live? I have no children, no God, no purpose", but she still goes out to work.
Jane opens the door, she has to talk to her husband. As she walks in and beholds the sight in front of her, she says "I got no reason to live".
