Me - Krishna, a true friend never leaves his friend during the times of hardships and nor let him go on the wrong tracks of life, right?
Krishna (God) - Yes dear, that's right. A true friend never leaves his friend behind at any cost.
Me - Then why didn't you helped Pandavas in the game dice .
Krishna (God) - My dear, it is the law of creation that only the prudent wins. Duryodhana had discretion, Dharmaraja did not. That is why Dharmaraja was defeated. He knew how to win the game Duryodhana had lots of money to gamble but didn't know how to play, so he used maternal uncle Shakuni to play the game of dice. In the same way Dharmaraj could have asked someone else to play on his behalf. If I would have played, think who would have won? But they didn't asked for it.
Me - But Krishna,why didn't you stop Dharmaraj Yudhishthira from gambling? You did not stop him, but you did not turn luck in favor of Dharmaraj either. If you wanted, Yudhishthira could win.You could have stopped him at least after losing money, state and even themselves. After that when he started putting his brothers at stake, then you could reach the hall. You didn't did that as well. You didn't intervened even when she was brutally dragged to the hall by a man. You intervened when Draupadi was losing her modesty, when she was almost stripped. Why didn't you cane earlier? Why you didn't stop this from happening.
Krishna (God) - He made big mistake out of discretion and that is they prayed for me not to come to the hall until I was called. Because they wanted to play the game secretly from me because of their misfortune. They didn't want me to know that they were gambling. Thus they tied me to their prayers. I was not allowed to enter the hall.
Even then I was waiting outside the room when someone calls me. Bhima, Arjun, Nakula and Sahadeva have all forgotten me. Just keep on cursing his fate and Duryodhana. On the orders of his brother, when Dushasan dragged Draupadi to the meeting hall dragging her hair, Draupadi struggled according to her ability.
Even then she did not call me. Her intelligence was awakened when Dushasan began to strip her. When she pleaded me for help.
I got an opportunity to protect her modesty. As soon as I was called, I arrived without delay. Now tell me my mistake in this situation?
Me - So you will come only when you are called? You will not come automatically to help your devotee surrounded by trouble?
Krishna (God) - I guide you through the life, I can show you right path but you will only have to decide whether you want to walk on it or it. You have to make your own decisions and you will only have to face consequences.
Me - So this means that you will keep standing near us and observe all our misdeeds? We will keep on sinning and will you continue to witness us? Continue to tie the bundle of sin and suffer its consequences?
Krishna (God) - (smiles) Darling when you understand and feel that I am near you every moment as a witness, can you do anything wrong or bad? You certainly will not be able to do anything bad. When you forget this and begin to understand that you can do anything by hiding from me, only then you get caught in difficulties.
Dharmaraja's ignorance was that he believed that he could gamble without my knowledge. If he had understood that I am present as a witness with everyone at all times, the consequences would be total different.
