The weekend project-- part 1
She never believed in ghosts, monsters, witches... a brave one, yes she was invincible, so she thought. But the way the day had passed, she felt something wierd.
Firstly, she had missed her pool cab. She had been late so they went without her. She had to take the tube to reach her office, through the rush and so reached office starving for food and craving the black coffee. But there was the meeting she had to attend and she went in empty tummy which ofcourse growled through the meeting.
She rushed for the coffee as soon as the meeting was over. She would think about the task given later. She asked for a pastry and a coffee. Sat down on the corner table and took the first sip. ohhh it felt so good. Just then she saw Him, the new intern coming towards her. He came near and said "Hi,mam". She looked up and said ,"Hi, call me Nia and join me please." He had a cup of coffee in his hand but didn't seem to like it as he wasn't taking a sip. "So, I am stuck up with you for this weekend project", she said. " Don't mind, but I usually like to work alone as I am very impulsive. With you, that too a male and a newbie, I will feel restricted. It's nothing about you, it's just me as I am."
He looked around for a minute, then said," I know. As a so called newbie I too feel intimidated. But I will try my best to not disturb you. We will work it out. That place is not your normal place, there are happenings there and things are not as they seem usually. Infact, there's more to the place than the stories making rounds. So you going alone is not a safe decision and no other senior is interested so I got the grand opportunity. And you also forget, I am a relative of the royal family of the palace. I may actually be of help to you," he finished shrugging his shoulders haughtily.
She ordered him to book two rooms in a good hotel at the Indore and be ready early Friday morning. Nia also gave him a list to buy the technical stuff needed and a little quintessential first aid kit. She wanted to go in her Scorpio.
Constant buzzing of her bell woke her up. It was him at the door, around 4 am, all ready to go. She couldn't take her eyes off him...
