Chapter Two
"Omolola, come, let's clean up the house," my mother called from the living room.
"I'm on my way," I replied. We began dusting the chairs and removing cobwebs.
"Mummy, why do we have to clean up the house? Why do we have to respect Daddy? Why are we still in this house? Please let's move out; let's go to your mom's place or any of your family members' place. It might be better there than here," I said confidently.
"Will you keep your mouth shut? This is my husband's and your father's house; we can't just leave," she snapped.
"But he doesn't care about us, so why should we?" I yelled back.
