Episode five✨

It was a Saturday morning. Dave and Star had agreed to meet in one of the five stars hotels in town. She woke up feeling unnecessarily happy. She was just elated that morning as though she never went on a date before. She had several with Jerry before things turned that way. You dressed gorgeously as usual. She picked her phone to call Dave to be sure he's set too. That was when her sister barged in and kept calling star star! what's up with all these? She asked giggling.
I'm going out with Dave. Shhhh! she said using her finger to cross her lips... Hi Dave, what's up? I'm cool girl. He answered calmly. You're set? He asked. Yeah, I wanted to ask that too. Esther added. Her sister was already blushing. Okay, I will wait for you. He said and hung the phone. Yeep! Esther's sister, Iremide signed. So, what's up with this Dave of a guy, she asked trying to hide her laughter. Nothing, we're just friends.. She replied with an innocent look. Remember Jerry's friend I told you about? Yh, the one you met in the U.K I will be going now, she said trying to let her sister alone.

At the hotel.....
Esther was seen looking around to make sure she got the right place. Hey beauty! She turned to see Dave who was already waiting for her. I must have kept you waiting. I'm so sorry. She said. It's okay star. what would you like to take? Waiter! He called out. The female waiter came around with the menu asking them what they would like to take. Star and Dave agreed to take fried rice and chicken. While they wait for the waiter, Dave start by passing a complementary remarks on Esther's look. You look stunning Star. I love your dress, will you lend me. He asked jokingly. Star smiled and replied, if you wouldn't mind. They both laughed and the waiter brought their food. After the meal. Dave asked star to be free with him. After all, we are friends. What has been the problem so far? He asked looking straight into her eyes....

Flash back to the day star went on a date with Jerry.

laughs. Stop Jerry, I've not got the strength to laugh so hard. Seriously! Jerry said with love all over him. But I'm really in love with you, is it that hard to believe? Jerry asked. I'm not saying you don't love me sweetie. But there's time for everything. What time? That's what you have being saying all this while. Jerry said trying to let her go of his arms. I'm sorry dear, but you have to be calm with me. So, you are telling me I'm behaving like a mad man. Jerry replied angrily. Esther tried to touch him, but she got a slap in return. Don't you dare try to touch me. Jerry yelled. It's fine I will just go. I'm the stupid one here, believing you love me thesame. Jerry said. I do love you, but I can't got defiled before my marriage. Esther tried to explain. But Jerry wasn't going to listen to any of that... He left angrily and since then he changed to be what he is now.. Star narrated to Dave.... Oh! that's the bone of contention. I'm really sorry dear. You don't have to cry, he said giving her his handkerchief. He stood to comfort her. It's ok star. I love him! Esther said. I know you do, don't worry I will talk to him.......
