The truth was that Ashanti knew she was always different..in a good or bad way. She felt it within her all the time.
Aunt Sophia made her do all hard jobs in the house , despite having two daughters well older than Ashanti. She wanted at all best to wear her off of her beauty and goodliness .
Despite all that , Ashanti continued to grow in beauty and kindness.

It was the annual festival to celebrate the years of peace enjoyed by the town ever since the attack of the beasts of the night . Twenty years ago, Lukesure town experienced the most bitter battle and bloodshed in a clash with werewolves.. They took everyone unawares.. attacking at full moon when the whole town was dead asleep.
Their target were kids from 3 years to adolescence .
As much as the town leaders fought , they were of no match to the creatures whose strength and speed was beyond natural..a good amount of the kids were adopted
It was in this bloodbath, that Ashanti lost her parents to death..and her twin brother to adoption by the cruel beasts..
But aunt Sophia told her it was just an accident so she wasn't aware of the details behind their death.
Despite her terrible past,she was going to put all behind her to enjoy herself this festival , besides it wasn't everyday she had this luxury of leaving the house.
