Another chance
The golden crispy rays of the raising sun ignited my room in that beautiful morning.I raised my window curtains to have a better view of birds chirping joyly and the plants rustling in the dewy morning breeze when my clock alarmed interrupting my mind which was lost in nature's beautiful ambiance.
As I walked through the busy highway to my place of work,I tried not to think so much about the events which had taken place the previous day but they kept on flashing through my mind especially when I remembered of the last date I was going to have with Edd after work.
I kept on checking on my phone for his messages but he seemed to have made his mind to end this relationship with me.I felt butterflies in my stomach and goosebumps every time I thought of losing him but I didn't have a choice but to stay strong in a workday that never seemed to end.
As I clocked out of work,all I wanted was to hear from Edd and when he finally called to see me, my face lit in joy.I was nervous and had mixed reaction on how our date was going to end.I convinced myself that I was only going to be calm and not cry over him.
He was the most handsome man I had ever met,his emerald green eyes send my soul on fire and my heart almost skipped when he stared at me this evening,as he held my hands I wished he could not utter anything for fear of listening to him end this fairy tale.
Having known him from college and having dated him for a year,I knew he was not going let me go today,his eyes were full of passion and as ours lips locked in long intimate kisses I knew he had given me another chance.
