Lost Childhood 21
Sara hesitated for a minute when she listened to his message, she thought he meant some time in the near future not immediately. She thought then asked, “Would ninety minutes be too long?”. Alex looked at his watch; it was a little after four. He asked, “Would six o’clock be alright?”. She smiled and told him that would be fine. He smiled in returned and told her he would see her then. That would give him more than enough time to find something more appropriate to wear than what he had on when he thought he would be spending the rest of the day alone.

Sara ran to her room, opened her closet door and started deciding what to wear. She tried and she tried but couldn’t get the right look she was going for. She needed something that loudly screamed “friendship”; she really didn’t want to lead him on in anyway. She wanted to make sure she was not sending anything remotely romantic. She just wanted to get out and have some fun; she thought she deserved it after all the hard work she put in this year.

Once she found the perfect outfit, she quickly jumped in the shower so that she would be ready in time. She definitely didn’t want to keep him waiting since he was already waiting for her. What she didn’t know was he equally was trying to get ready. He was no longer going out to have dinner by himself; he now had an intended companion for the evening.
He quickly took a shower for the second time that day; jeans and a t-shirt was not going to be appropriate for his plans now.

Before she called back he had first decided to order takeout and have it delivered then he decided he needed to get out of the house. He threw on a t-shirt and some jeans and had decided to grab some fast food and watch television for the evening. How quickly things had changed and now he had to find some place decent to take Sara for dinner. He would also have to come up with some nice dinner conversation.

Sara had decided to were a sundress and sandals, she put on light makeup and pulled her hair back in a ponytail. She chose scented lotion instead of perfume. She also decided not to polish her nails; she didn’t want to look as if she had put too much thought and effort into getting ready. She took one more look in the mirror and believed she had pulled off the “friendship” look.
