Those that are with me on this healing journey don't know what I go through, but empathize. This pain seems to win most nights. At night the battle is harder because I don't have help. When my door is closed and light is off, they think I'm asleep. Nope, wide awake, in pain, staring up at the ceiling.... Squeezing a squishy toy, grabbing my covers, trying to hold back my tears, but the pain is just to much. Can you imagine not sleeping through the night for 5 years? I want to sleep, but can't, I doze off, then my pain says, "WAKE UP"!, again, trying to hold back tears. It's a constant battle at night; I just want to go to sleep, I just want to sleep through the night into the morning. Is that to much to ask? Obviously it is.
